The more fragrances I cut out of my life, the more sensitive to it I feel. Smells in general are so strong now that I'm not constantly bombarded with scents in my home and on my body. A woman at the airport's shampoo smell had me dying today. Same kind of thing happened when I stopped eating sugary foods and sodas. There is nothing fair about it. I hope I'm not overstepping, but I wanted to share something I used tell my ex when it got overwhelming or scary. "Some bumps on the road cannot be climbed and 'gotten' over. Sometimes you have to force your way through it, busting straight through that massive solid rock. It's not a painless task, but sometimes the only direction to go. And the pain in any form, from tackling it head on, is your proof that your tribulation didn't become you or take away who you are. It doesn't own the house, but it is an an unwelcome guest, and you're kicking ass to get it the hell off your property!" 🚪👋....👹👊....🏡 I wish you the very best on your journey, I really mean that. I don't wear makeup very often but when I've used this foundation it has never irritated my skin or caused any kind of breakout. It's also quite hydrating, so if you have a dryer skin type it might work well for you. The coverage is light to medium but definitely buildable. It's a little expensive compared to other drugstore foundations but you can always find a coupon!

Dr. Dray, I'm so excited! Haven't watched this video yet but: 1) The Colorscience Face Shield leaves a bit of a cast on me, so I haven't been using it. I have been using the Drmtlgy 45. Today I decided to use the Shaka sunscreen all over my face and then the Colorscience (don't want it to go to waste) only on my cheeks and on a few areas where I have hyper-pigmentation. OMG, it works so well that way!! I am so happy because I have been wanting to use two sunscreens and this combination seems to work! I think the cast is more noticeable when it's all over my face because my skin is dark. 2) I took a cab to work today because I was feeling lazy. The driver was a female and in her cup holder I was happy to see Lancome UV Expert Aquagel Defense 50 sunscreen! Happy because I really never see anyone using sunscreen unless it's at the beach. Okay, now to watch the video! Thanks for all you do doctor!!

For darker skin tones, the shade range for No 7 is awful, unfortunately. As a general rule, a good shade range would have the same number of shades in each skin tone category (fair, light, medium, tan, deep, rich, and dark). Within each skin tone category you would then look for them to have several undertones. I know for their foundation drops, in particular they have 24 shades, of which only 4 would fall in the categories of tan, deep, rich, or dark. Anyone with skin darker than maybe Eva Longoria or JLo would have trouble finding a good match.

I'm an elementary school teacher and after watching your vids, I apply sunscreen for recess duty. In all my years of teaching, I have never had a parent send sunscreen to school, but we have two 25-minute recesses for a total of 50 minutes in full sun every day. I used to think I was fine if I didn't burn. Shouldn't the kids be wearing sunscreen?? I bet a lot of childhood skin damage occurs at recess. Everyone applies it on their children if they spend an hour at the pool. But 12 years of teaching and I've never seen it at school.

I like to use primer so that my foundation goes on smooth. I love Hourglass Mineral Veil the one that’s so highly rated on KZbin. It has few ingredients, fragrance free and a little SPF which I apply over my daily sunscreen. It’s expensive but worth it and better than the other options laden with fragrance.

Happy monday dear Dr Andrea! I’m loving this video! I wanted to ask you: those silk (not satin) pillows, are really beneficial for skin and hair? Dr Dray, I have primers that I would not use them as moisturizer. You dont feel at all that hydrates you, but makes the skin like a nicer canvas, besides covering the pores. Of course it is from make up only brands, maybe others just make moisturizers.

Dr Dray and what about the fact of helping with skin moisture and reducing wrinkles?
@Pamela-B5 жыл бұрын
Victoria Oh From what I’ve heard yes the silk pillowcases do help with wrinkles. Let’s face it.... nothing will prevent wrinkles completely but hey why not try it?
@mississippi-hippie38895 жыл бұрын
@@vickyoli Dr. Dray included some info regarding the silk or satin pillowcase topic. I *believe* it's in her vlog about how she trained herself to start sleeping on her back instead of her stomach by utilizing her couch. Basically, as she reiterated above, they can reduce hair breakage but the other claims for reducing or preventing wrinkles is pretty much a marketing ploy we shouldn't fall for. Dr. Dray is my role model. She just doesn't know it yet lol. 😬✌🏻

Thanks for another great video! The wet n wild is my favorite foundation over any drugstore or high end one! Vanicream cleanser saved me after years of using Cetaphil, (which doesn’t get remove mineral sunscreen). I even bought the gentle body wash for the family, but Dr Dray, what’s the difference between the Gentle Body Wash and Free & Clear Liquid Cleanser? Is one better than other? The free and clear liquid cleanser is a bit more cost effective.

Does this keep the oil down? Would love it if I could use this as a combo sunscreen/oil mattifier. Thanks for feedback!

K S No she didn’t mention it. She asked something about primers. I use the coppertone because I live in the Caribbean, teach yoga and chemical sunscreens usually sting me. Because I have dark skin I like to wear makeup over my sunscreen to mask the cast. Since I started using the coppertone I noticed that my makeup looks better and I get a lot more compliments. Now that I think about it my skin has been drier as well

Dr Gray , hi from Australia, l am a makeup artist. The biggest reason people age is sun exposure. I love your channel and all breakdown of ingrediants and their integredity in the product. Most the time we are brainwashed from the beauty industry. I also have fair , freckly skin in Australia where we have a high UV rays so sunscreen is esstential. Loving your channel. P.S your primer message is spot on. The formulas might be more mattifying but yep Primers are moisturiser. Fragence free all the way. Remember makeup gets grubby and has to be cleaned to keep free of bateria. You do this by spraying powders or anything with isocol alcohol, which evaporates without degrading the product but the alcohol disinfects your makeup. You go girl.
