Definitely needed this. I have a photography business that i use SquareSpace for because of the creativity and custom aspects of the website, but I plan to create a separate Apparel business and was really wondering which to choose. Thankful for this video and it confirmed my worry about going with SquareSpace a second time for this particular venture. Shopify for the win!

This was a great comparison video to watch! I make hand sewn products that I feel would be better displayed on Squarespace, but the way you described Shopify, it seems like that would be the way to go in terms of selling the products. I do agree though, Squarespace is far superior when it comes to the look and layout of the website. Shopify just seems so generic and carbon copy-like (if that makes sense lol). Looks like I still have some research to do though!

This video was so helpful! I am looking to move from Etsy because the fees are killing the prices of my lower price items. I wanted to move to my own website to make my products a little cheaper. I was super overwhelmed with going through all the square space FAQ's and what not. This was so much more helpful. After watching this I think I'm leaning towards shopify now but I will continue to research to make sure its the right spot for me

If you're still creating your product offering. Start with etsy to see how it does, and build your marketing around that store. Then create shopify once you get sales up and running. Don't wait too long though! As you want to start building your customer base ASAP. Etsy owns the customers on there. Checkout this video when you are ready to start building.
