What I love most about old picture albums is the scent and how the pages are so fragile, It would be so nice if you would find Dorothy's and Joe's family and be able to give this treasure to them.

Yes! I did the same thing with a yearbook. It's always goos to try to return things , because chances are it was accidentally donated to the store and mixed in with a box of clothes or dishes.

What a amazing scrapbook I was at a estate sale a few years ago and bought something I went in one room and there was all this lady’s family photos, her diploma, and parents photos and they were to be tossed out if no one bought them? So I bought them all and display them with her 50’s rca record player I bought Including her diploma

Try to return the book! I was able to reunite a 1939 yearbook with the granddaughter of the owner. It was accidentally donated after her death and the granddaughter was delighted to have it back!

That scrap book is amazing. Real romance. Now days it's just a text. So much lost with technology and social media. My grandma had beautiful handwriting like that. Everyone use to write in cursive back then. Now days some people don't even know what cursive is lol.

I get a load of the old photographs i use from house clearers and yes it is really sad that family history ends up floating in the ether. :( At least, even if you weren't able to return the album to the family(?), it's with somebody who cares about it! :). What is REALLY upsetting is the huge bags of old photographs you can buy on Ebay for'Grafting Purposes'... I've seen portraits of unnamed WW1 soldiers who may end up lining a drawer :S

I’ve been super inspired by your videos. I made my first vintage house jacket purchase! Just curious if you have and tips on getting the “old” smell out of vintage clothes. I tried washing and a vinegar rinse and I could still smell a faint smell. I have a super sensitive nose. Currently trying to add baking soda to a bag and try that.
