My rule of thumb is No jackets at all in car seats, keep a baby blanket in the car or with you at all times. A blanket is safer option. Nothing with a hood. There is a Carseat Safety page full of Child Passenger Safety Techs you could join and they give out so much great info, you could post in there with any questions you have. I highly recommend the brand Chicco for infant car seats. You want to make sure the harness is at or preferably just below baby’s shoulders, chest clip is at armpit level and the straps pass the pinch test. It’s a lot of info but I promise you if you do your research it’ll all make sense and it’s the best way to keep baby safe. You’re doing amazing and so happy for you, thank you for allowing us to be part of your family’s journey. I have a baby girl named Arianna, she will be 2 in March. For the car seat, if you have to adjust the straps for them to be buckled then you need to take the jacket off, if you can buckle them snugly and not have to adjust the straps then the jacket will be fine. I just keep a blanket in my car for my son and I don’t even worry about the jacket unless he is outside for a while and not just going from the car to inside a building

Once upon a child is the best I got all my sons stuff there for the first year already and he’s only 5 months lol it’s so cheap. No coats in car seats but sweaters are ok!

I will usually put my son in a sweat jacket. Just a normal zip up with a a hood. That way he’s still warm and i don’t have to adjust the straps. He has a puffer winter jacket and I keep that in the car in case I’m going into a store and it’s very cold. I also keep a blanket in the car and bring one out with me, so he’s always warm even without a winter coat🤍

One thing I learned with my first is that the sizing is often off. Don’t buy too much expecting them to be in that size at that age! My son was always in a much bigger size and my daughter has been up a size since around 3 months! Currently 14 months and in 24m-2T! Just incase!

My baby was lazy and didn't move much and i was telling my Dr how it made me scared something was wrong.. So he told me to drink an ice cold class of water and boy did he move around.. Which was great so my partner got to see him move was the best feeling 🙏💖

Count on baby wearing double their size. So at 3 months she’ll fit into 6 months, when she’s 9 months she’ll fit into 12-18 months. I’ve never seen a baby fit into the actual sizes unless they’re a preemie.

Karlee definitely get your iron levels checked usually after birth you can lose alot of blood and your energy can go downhill I’m still on iron after two babies😭

just remember if you plan on breastfeeding your baby will bee chuunnky! my 6 months old was already in 12 months &&& at 16 months he was already in 2t... just a heads up.. i had so much summer clothes leftover from my 1st baby, that he doesnt even get to use, bc by that time he will most likely be in 3t, he is 18 months old in 2T as of now
