Michelin have promised to show me the World of 2 Wheels: Episode 1 of My First Motorbike and I head straight to Motoline to meet up with Chris aka Baron Von Grumble aka 44Teeth LEGEND!
This is a super exciting adventure for me, and to have Michelin support the journey, and open their doors to their world of 2 wheels...you know it's going to get crazy! I just can't quite believe how extreme motorbikes can get!! I can't wait to show you what's in store!

You need to start on something small - like a 400 or R3 for a while, get used to paggering the bike and getting up the rev range and up and down the gearbox etc - whilst still being highly manoeuvrable, that will bring you on better. Remember going fast isnt what kills you, its stopping fast.

Mate- genuinely excited for you on this two-wheeled odyssey you’ve begun. Love the video, and videos- keep up the good work! But, as a chap who learned on dirt bikes- and barely missed a light pole to the head one day, and as someone who loves Motorsport and pure acceleration; I just ask you take care. The two wheeled world can be an eye opening experience with respect to dangers and concerns we never worried with on 4 wheels. I know you’re competent and safe- just always stay ahead of the danger please, I’d hate to see you up in stitches yes! Also- the Ducati or Triumph- two absolute beauties. Given you’re across the pond I wonder about an Aprilia or key British brands. It would be nice to see a bike build as you progress in riding. Cheers!

What a rush you must be feeling man, I am a lot like you, I want to do my DAS very soon so I can buy my first bike. I love the idea of just riding with the beautiful countryside around me. I think I will get a Honda CBR500R for my first just so I can hone my skills plus it will do fantastic mileage to a tank. I cannot wait to see what you get. Looking forward to it.

Love the fact that you're entering the fantastic world of bikes too Paul. This channel has just got double better in my opinion - best of both! Work your way up though, it'd be great to see you getting lots of different bikes over the coming years. However once you get the fastest, you can drop back, I have, and it's like an mx-5: not the fastest but it doesn't have to be to have lots of fun!

If you want reliability, power, looks and speed. The Japanese brands are definitely the best to go for. Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki. You can’t rlly go wrong with them. Ducati are in the more expensive field of super bikes to go for but if you’re willing to spend that much and you truly like the bike, you’ve done research and you’re not just buying it because that’s the first brand of motorcycles you’ve heard, then go for it! The only issue with Italian brands are that they aren’t the most reliable. But they do look very nice and appealing.

959 ducati for sure!!!! It is a lot of bike for a new rider but if you take it easy and get used to it you'll be fine. I bought a fireblade the week after a past my full test!

The Triumph Street triple RS is probably the only bike a man should need. Can't go wrong with it. Alternatively look at the new Aprilia 660. Its supposedly very good as the reviews go. And it looks the part

The Moro bug is unlike the car bug in that the risk level is higher the reward level is that much higher. Super bikes will change your life in the greatest way and I am glad to see you get the bug Paul. I recommend a cross plane R1 (09-14) not much sounds or goes better.

Very good advice... although you've been on the Honda press bike i think the Triumph triple would be an excellent starting point... very cool bike with a good level of aftermarket options and something to really cut your teeth with... that Ducati 1099 was beautiful but thats a bit like starting at the top and having nothing to step up to from there.

Mr Jizz Machine himself, legend. On another note, forget looking the ‘coolest’, buy whatever suits your use. I would seriously consider the S1000R or for example a Duke 1290R. Lots and lots of power, but easy to ride on a daily basis.

I have been riding for 15 years as a born again biker. I have a Street Triple and a Ducati 959 Corse. I would highly recommend the Street Triple as they are brilliant bikes and plenty fast enough for the road. I would not recommend the 959 as your first big bike - you need to learn to handle a fast bike and know your limitations first.

The more you put into is the more you get out of it. The bike is such a much more involved experience verses the car. I am still a car guy. Just not as much.

I had the same thought with the Xdiavel s. Coming from superbikes it just didn't do anything for me. You realise quickly bikes are about the experience of riding rather than what it looks like. (saying that I did spend many a countless night staring at it in the garage, its bloody gorgeous)
