We have the Doona and a regular stroller with the bassinet attachment. Use the Doona as an everyday car seat and go to stroller for quick run-ins but have the regular stroller for all day outings/walks. There’s no need for them to buy another infant car seat.

1) I’d 1000% recommend getting a stroller that has the car seat attachment because babies sleep so much that it’s nice to be able to pick up their car seat from the car and connect to the stroller without having to wake them up to buckle them into the stroller. I still do this with my 1+ yr old who sometimes falls asleep on car rides-then they can still nap while you’re out and about. Also, helpful to keep them in their car seat in the stroller when they’re so tiny and can’t really support their heads/bodies with just stroller harnesses. 2) SLEEP TRAIN! 3) Zippers is where it’s at. You don’t need as many clothes as you actually think. Get clothes and diapers bigger in size-they grow out of clothes SO quickly and have less blowouts when diapers are slightly bigger. Get cheap-o white onesies that you don’t care just throwing away with really bad blowouts. Congratulations! Don’t stress too much-as a mom of 3 and currently pregnant, it’s always a learning curve but it really is the best! You will love the little munchkin more than you thought was possible🎉

Nuna travel system sounds like it could work really well for you guys! It comes with the nuna pipa light carseat that clicks into the stroller. And then once they get bigger you can just use the stroller without the carseat. The stroller seat also lays all the way down, and when my son was little I would lay it down and he would sleep laying down in it. He is almost 3 and we still use it and love it!

Hey Julia and Hunter! Love yall! Ive been a nanny for almost a decade and I’ve tried a ton of different strollers, car seats, and have seen them in action! You’ll have a “baby carrier/infant car seat” for the car and that’s what you carry around however it’s only when they are an infant. Then you will upgrade to a bigger “car seat” that should last them a few year depending- you switch to that one at a certain hieght and weight but usually around 10-12 months! Also try “magnetic me” they are magnetic onesie’s and they are PHENOMENAL AND GAME CHANGING! Happy parenting!

Oh my gosh I remember being so overwhelmed when I was pregnant and trying to pick everything out. Everyone has their opinions on car seats but all car seats have passed the same safety testing in the US so there really is no “bad” or “wrong” car seat option. It’s what fits your needs and lifestyle! And some things you get you’ll think you/baby will love and then absolutely hate it 😂 don’t stress.

The orbit stroller is great and there is so many attachments/accessories you can get that will grow with baby and multiple kiddos. If baby is sleeping in car seat you can attach to the stroller and swivel!

When I had my daughter (almost 16 years ago!) I had the Bugaboo stroller. I’m sure it’s much more luxurious now but it was THE BEST stroller available back then. It acted as her bassinet when she was a new born and then converted to the toddler stroller. You could face it towards you or away. Toys were easy to attach. Screens for shade or to keep bugs out. It was incredibly easy to fold up and lightweight. We loved it and used and abused it until we didn’t need it anymore.

Lol I’m 35 weeks and this was the laugh I never knew I needed. I remember my husband and I being in Nordstrom looking at strollers…..so overwhelming. I was looking at the same ones you are minus the bugaboo. I ended getting the Vista and the Doona. I just knew I would get the Nuna but after trying out all my friends and listening to issues they’ve had and seeing them with the baby actually in it, helped me make a decision. It really just depends on your lifestyle and needs. They’re all good strollers, they should be for the price. Think about what will work best for you and your family. I love the Vista because of the bassinet for walks which is a must for me and it came all together in a bundle for me. I got the car seat, base, stroller, bassinet, rain shield, and 2 bug shields for a great price. I also love the basket and the stroller seat as my little one grows (which I see has been an issue with the Nuna for some…kid falls out or seat isn’t comfortable due to shape) My husband will be picking it up all the time so I don’t care about the weight plus it’s not heavy to me at all or the hubby. The Doona is going to be for every day quick in and outs. It’s so easy and just great for travel. Don’t stress to much you will figure it out.

My friends always want those packs of fleece blankies. They’re thin. I’m sure I could find them for you if you’re interested. You’re always going to want to wrap your baby to keep it warm and the baby will puke and other accidents in them so you’ll have to change them all the time (and put them in the wash). So having them on hand is always practical. They come in packs. My friends always ask for them when they are expecting.

My most used baby item from the day we brought him home until now is the Baby Bjorn bouncer and another must have for me was the Dock a Tot. Check the safety ratings for your car seat if you still can’t decide and let that be the deciding factor - I went with the chicco keyfit over the fancier/more expensive ones for this reason… it is consistently rated #1. You guys are doing great! This was too funny 😂 One thing I would recommend before the baby arrives is getting a dog trainer that specialises on dog with baby training. A friend of mine did that and she said it was a game changer and as you guys love your walks and outdoors it might be helpful. What they did the most is to train the dog to walk calm and behind the stroller and you do that before the baby arrives so you can actually do a few training session with the empty stroller, without feeling stressed. 😊

yes the thule is for hiking, but you can use it for whatever. it shouldnt give you back issues if you are wearing it properly-- the weight will shift to your hips, much like a hiking backpack.

Simple is best. I’m mom of twins. I liked having a basset so I could tool from room. Also there are strollers that are like prams ?$$$$ a car carrier that snaps into a stroller is what I went w. Touch base w la Leche they are a wealth of info…they helped me w slings!! Sleep sacks & swaddle White noise machine. I liked advent bottles (easy to find). Enjoy. Try not too much. I never did any electronics or constant motion items. Do be afraid to ask other moms!!

I highly recommend the Nuna carseat and stroller..I have both. They are awesome (way better than uppa baby). The magnetic cover on the car seat is the best, if you are traveling you can use the car seat without the base (it can just be used with a seatbelt, that way you don't have to lug the heavy base around) and all the foam etc is non toxic.

I would recommend the graco 4 ever car seat. It’s more practical. You’re gonna lean more toward wearing your baby in a carrier because it allows you to be hands free and immediately soothes the baby. As opposed to purchasing an infant car seat that you’ll have to 1) carry a baby around in (which is painful) and 2) they’ll grow out of it so fast and you’ll be on the market to purchase another car seat within like 5-6 months

I was also between the nuna and uppababy and was so set on the Nuna until a BuyBuy Baby associate told us about the Graco Modes Nest DLX. And I was so skeptical because I wanted a luxury stroller but literally it’s the BEST! And has luxury features. Only downside is it only comes in black but if you don’t mind that I absolutely love it. It has all the functions of nuna and uppababy put together.
