Honestly, congratulations to you guys. I think you deserve it. I'm pretty sure I found you guys because my boyfriend at the time and I (we were long distance, they lived in Albany, CA (Bay Area) while I live in Grand Rapids, MI) were going to make a weekend dinner together on Skype and we wanted a homemade ranch dressing recipe lol. I know, that sounds so silly. Well, alas, there you guys were. And funny enough, before I subscribed, my boyfriend at the time would catch some of your videos and actually recognized you guys used to live in the same area-ish as he did! Anyway, I've enjoyed getting to know your fam. Watching your babes grow. Take care can't wait for the HP video 🤍

Just so you know, the Bourbon biscuits aren’t alcoholic, they don’t have whisky in, they are just chocolate sandwich biscuits named after a former French Royal! And yes you’re right, we call them biscuits here, cookies are usually what we call chocolate chip American style cookies.

i mean, to drive in the uk, you have to go through pretty intensive courses and tests. in america, it seems they give licenses to pretty much anyone with eyes

TBF it varies state by state, I passed my car and motorcycle tests in Florida no problems but here in England I only have a motorcycle license (when the DVLA can be bothered to do the job correctly) driving cars in the UK is tricky for me as I can't feel the speed the same as riding a motorcycle

@@snowy.ethereal Driving license requirements vary by state, however, there are federal standards every state needs to adhere. I can only speak for the two states where I tested (NJ and CA). Both had rigorous testing requirements, for Car and Motorcycle licenses. I have spent a lot of time in the UK, and have discuss/compared the training in the UK and the two states mentioned above. I didn't find the requirements that different other than age.

Unless it's really hot (like it was this summer just gone) it's very uncommon for bugs to come into most British houses*, which is why mesh screens are a non existent feature of British homes. Treacle (proper black treacle) is like Molasses, they both come from the sugar refining process. However since the mid Victorian era most treacle tarts are made Golden syrup (another stage of the srp) which is like very thick honey, the tt in Harry Potter would likely have been (by the houselves) with GS as until some point around the late 80's- mid 90's (when it was taken of the menu) it stopped being in the weekly/ fortnightly school dinner dessert rotation. *= some older houses do have shutters because they were built before curtains became commonplace

The thing about roundabouts is that everybody does go at once - to some extent anyway! This is better than stopping at lights - it has been proven that traffic flows better around roundabouts. Eggs are treated in the US so they lose the outside coating that keeps them fresh which is why you keep them in the fridge there

I’ve driven in The USA and it is easier to drive in the USA also cars tend to be bigger on the USA compared to the Uk People thought I was strange when I choose a hire car in the USA Sinilar size to my car in the UK as i was told no one chooses a car this small normally

unlike the US, the UK doesn’t rinse the bloom off their eggs which is why they don’t need to be refrigerated. if you buy farm fresh eggs in the states, they don’t need to be refrigerated either. I didn’t know this until a few months ago and I found it super interesting.

As well as giving way to everything coming from the right and getting in the right lane for your exit, you also have to have some assertiveness whilst using roundabouts. I really did most of my learning to drive on a motorcycle on my own, so I quickly learnt how to be assertive and observant at all times.

And if you're around London, then just plain don't. In London use public transport.

Do American homes have screens on the windows? Found that quite interesting haha. In the UK we don’t really get any mosquitos the most that could happen by leaving the window open is maybe an annoyingly loud blue bottle fly or if it’s dark out maybe a moth who’s scared of the dark ☺️

yes, every window has screens. We got quite a few mosquitos inside as well as flies

Screens would come in handy if you were on the west coast of Scotland. The midge is terrible.
