This is NOT lame. As an elder and disabled I enjoy watching you make a meal out of what you have. A teaching moment for your kids in talking about those who are food insecure. By teaching them that, and how your teaching them gardening and preparing your own, you are not only setting them up for surviving in life as we never know what may happen. For you trusting in God to look to him, you are also teaching them to use the knowledge you are giving them to succeed. ❤

SO not lame Delilah!! This is exactly the kind of inspiration that mamas (and us hopeful mamas-to-be!) want and need to see. My favorite content isn't the most exciting stuff, but rather where it feels like chatting and getting advice from a good friend, and that's exactly what I love about your videos.

Delilah, the fact that this challenge was easy for you proves how organized you are. Plus the amount of home cooking you do is inspirational. It all looked very delicious and varied. I enjoyed this video, thanks 🙏

This was a great video. It definitely proves that there is in fact food in the house even if you didn't plan meals or go to the store on time.

I'd love to know more about the amount of time you have to spend on more traditional work things. Computer work, phone calls, etc. I'm a full time work from home mama with my kids at home with me and time management is tough.
@Thisorganizedmother7 ай бұрын
I started out by cutting out an hour or two on the weekend to prep some homemade things. Start with a few things and then you get faster as they become your staples. She makes it look so easy! 😊
@kellyisaac85327 ай бұрын
This right here. She probably isn’t working full time or 35+hrs every week. I doubt most of the mom vloggers are. Also it’s defining what is actually work. Answering emails from your phone is very different type of work than what a lot of us who work for corporations are doing. If you work a traditional full time job, even from home, it’s not comparable to influencers.

I love these so much, we found out our family is growing and I can feel the pressure building to keep up with more mouths to feed. These are so helpful to help me mentally prepare and practice a manageable way to do that. ❤

I saw our bank balance a few weeks ago and wow-2/3 of our salary was gone already. I stopped buying everything. Eventually bought a dozen eggs, one kg of potatos and a little piece of cheese. We ate up the veg in the fridge, pasta with garden herb pesto, quesadillas, frozen burger meat and potatos, quinoa with mackerel, sautéed veg with an egg..most things from the cellar or freezer. Today the shopping got delivered again, and the fridge is BARE except a spring onion and half a yellow pepper. It was actually fun! Inspiring. (Not trying to romanticise actual food insecurity, this was an exception and we are not in trouble)❤ let's go pantry/freezer challenge!!!

I’ve been a subscriber since before William was born, and I’ve loved watching you and your family grow and just all of the beautiful change you’ve had. 💛 You are a huge inspiration on what type of Mama and wife I want to be. This video was great and the meals looked delicious! You definitely make it look easy, which I’m sure it’s not as easy some days. Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming! 💕

Yes, how?? I was wondering the same thing!! And I HAVNT see Delilah wear Anna for quite a few months. Annabeth must be a very good little girl! Now I DO know I’m sure she has to stop filming and see about about her, if she’s crying, or if one of the other kids, maybe quite a few times. But my goodness, to cook as much as she does, just takes a long time to do all of that. I just don’t know how she does all that she does!!

Homemade pizza is a weekly staple in my house! If I’m in a pinch for a same day pizza dough I use half a teaspoon of yeast and some sourdough starter still! Either active or discard and it adds such a lovely flavour and still offers a bit of that good gut-ness lol. If you make it ahead of time I HIGHLY recommend the 72 hour pizza dough recipe by Food52! You can sub the yeast for sourdough starter of course.

We haven’t ventured into making our own pizza sauce yet. We rarely have it but when we do I like Raos sauce, but I always end up blending it because my husband and littles very much dislike any skin/chunks in their sauce too

I like a smooth sauce, too, so I use tomato passata (strained tomatoes) to make my pizza sauce, which allows me to skip the blending step altogether.
