Definitely add curtains to the front windows. It will give a uniform look to the room and give a finished look.

Yes definitely add curtains to all your other windows- it will add a warmth to the space - and you can always switch them out to a sheer curtain for the summer .

I love the curtains and yes…..do the four panels on the big windows 😊 I’d raise the rod a bit to make up that length….as close to ceiling as possible with that length curtain.

Yes curtains on the other windows! I love the curtain color for that space, but I think raising the height to where they fall flush to the floor would look better and give a cleaner look.

Definitely yes! To curtains, and love the color, but one thing, hang rod higher so curtains can dance off floor, you’ll see a big difference.

I personally love curtains. For me the pudding on the floor adds heaviness. This is just my personal preference you do what you like. I think you'll like them in the long run.

I have to agree with you. Love curtains and love these particular curtains but pooling on the floor is not my preference. I liken it to unhemmed pants that your kids scuff around in. Yes, I also agree it adds heaviness to the effect.

Crystal honey you wore yourself out stressing over this project. 😊 I can understand you being nervous over changing things in your new house. The curtains are lovely and yes I think putting them on the other windows for look better. The color is great. So glad that kids still give valentines in school. My husband loves the Harry’s razors and has been using them for quite awhile.

Love curtains the length is off. Raise the rods, the puddling on the floor is such a formal look.

I love the curtains! They really warm it up, breaks up all that white. Not that the white was bad, it wasn't at all, but for me, the curtains are a keeper.

I agree with another subscriber. You have added warmth to the room. Do the other windows to be cohesive and bring in that same warmth. I know most would not agree, but I don''t care for the "puddle" look at the bottom. You are directly by a heat vent in the floor and this will blow onto or even be blocked a bit by the bottom of drapes. Also on the floor the bottoms will get dirty. I would let them touch the floor but not puddle. Can't wait to see your project. Don't take Valentine decor down until after Valentine Day.

I think the curtains look great as they add texture and yes put curtains on the other windows:) you can always add decor but the room looks unfinished even if you never close them they add soooooo much to a room:) At the end of the day it’s up to you and your hubby:) tfs:)

The curtains look amazing, and as someone who has done a lot of interior design and decorating it’s always better to have curtains pool on the floor, rather than be too short

I like the curtains. I think it makes the room look more complete and it’ll look even more so after adding them to the other windows but I can definitely see how it might feel heavier and darker when you’re used to light and bright. You could always try a lighter weight fabric too. The fabric of these does look heavier.

I would put curtains on back windows but not on the windows where the sliding door is. I would leave curtains off of that one. Love the curtains!

Hi. I like the curtains you chose. So if your not going to close the curtains on the other windows like you said then I would only hang 2 panels one on each side of the windows…it will make the room look finished and cozy. Love your new home, it’s beautifully decorated! Also love all your videos!

Crystal, I know your project will turn out great because you are so talented with what you do! You are probably just feeling some mental stress with all the decisions with it. I enjoy the types of videos you have been doing with you taking us along through your day. You have such a sweet personality! I think your curtains and color look nice, but I can understand how it looks so different to you since haven't had anything there, maybe just give it time and see how you like it. Your thoughts on not needing anything on the other windows makes sense since you are enjoying the look and have shades on the windows anyway. Yes to the curtains!! Not sold on the pooling bc it’s a pain when mopping.🥴😅 Also risky with kids and/or pup accidentally stepping on them and getting them dirty as well as the rod getting tugged on which could lead to wall damage.🫣 Just my practical 2 cents.😜 But def love the color. Adds just enough warmth while still being light and bright. I’d carry those over to your back windows behind the dining table as well as the living room for warmth and continuity. The pantry looks great Crystal. I love the drapes. I think you should add more drapes. I do wish they were a neutral print. More texture It would add a little bit more flare. Nothing too bright though. But if you love it, keep it as it is.❤

I love the coziness the curtains add. I would just make a few adjustments. I would raise the rod or make the curtains short enough to kiss the floor but not puddle. Also, I would look for a lighter curtain material like linen and or a lighter creamer color. We live in a traditional colonial home with lots of windows 😂 and lighter color and texture curtains add warmth all year round without weighing our rooms down. We also have simple classic tie backs for when we want to have a different look. Again, these are just some suggestions love your videos

I LOVE the curtains! They add a whole new dimension to the room....the room looks so much warmer and not like you just moved into the space. I LOVE the color too! Where were they from again? I need some for my dining area....the sun has faded them out but they are also over 20 years old! 😂 Personally, I like the pooling. My mother had them just touching the floor but in my studio I have them pooling. I just prefer them that way. I like Harry's too. I think when you were in your old house you talked about them and when I needed another razor I bought one. The blades last forever! They are so good. In fact, I was just thinking I should get some more blades! I have so much Valentine's Day decor up so I'm not in any hurry to take it down! LOL But after I get taxes done, we are going out of town for a funeral so once I get back from that, then I will take it down. Easter is early this year....end of March, so don't know how I'll get two places decorated for Spring by then. I think I'll be SIMPLIFYING! That's what I say now! And you got the Pantry project! No worries! Worse comes to worse, you have someone come in and finish it but you've done a great job on it so far! And you have done many other projects perfectly. I have faith in you! 🩷

I would definitely still add curtains to the other windows in your dining room. I feel like it is throwing the whole room off by having curtains on the patio door and then nothing on the other windows. I would suggest maybe trying curtains that are a bit lighter in color and ones that are not so heavy looking. Personally I think that the curtains that you have in your master bedroom would work much better in the space. I have those same exact curtain panels in our bedroom and I love them. They are light ~ not only in color, but also in the overall feel ~ so they don't weigh down or overwhelm a space (especially when you consider that your dining room has a lot already going on with the table, hutch, armchair tucked in the corner, piano, plus all of the decor.

Crystal I say live with the curtains for a few days & see how you feel. I didn’t do any curtains in our new build, we have some land & there is no need in the main living space. Although we’re in a warm climate, so they might be nice in the winter.

I think the curtains definitely add coziness and would look great on the other 2 windows. I’m curious if you decided against adding a door to your pantry. You had discussed possibly adding a door when moved in but you wanted to live with it open for a while and then decide. I give Harry’s as gifts as well, love their products and they’re very well priced. Love the idea of snacks and drinks rather than more candy for the kids. I may do that for my grandkids as well. Excited to see the dining room with all the curtains hung.

The drapery panels will look better at the windows. Start with one on each side. You may want to add two more in the center. Then you can decide if you want panels flanking the sliding doors.

If you’re going to do all these neutrals, you have to layer them so that it looks cozy. Otherwise it just looks dark and unfinished. You’re definitely headed in the right direction.
