I’m so glad you commented on the invisible disability/disease issue. I am legally blind, and this is an issue I’ve dealt with every day of my life. Most of the time I can “pass” as someone who is fully “able”, albeit a little quirky, but there are moments when I can’t blend in and those moments are hard, unsettling, and leave me feeling vulnerable. One of those moments happened a few months ago and a stranger did comment on it. This is uncommon but it does happen, and it is so hurtful. It was just a passing comment to that stranger, but for me it was a lifetime of struggle and missunderstanding trigged. I think that if we all reach into our memories, we can find a time when our appearance or behaviors left us open to misunderstanding and judgment. All of us has an opportunity to develop empathy, or at least sympathy for others with short-term or long-term disabilities or illnesses. I include myself in that statement because having a disability does not mean I don’t fall into this trap from time to time. I really appreciate you talking about your own experience with this issue. It’s affirming to hear someone else expressing the same thoughts and fears, and it helps raise awareness and encourage people to think twice before jumping to negative conclusions. Thanks for lending your voice on this one. Also, I bought my first Zimmermann linen pants as a birthday gift to self because of you and Josie….so thanks for that too!

I totally get you on the invisible illness and other people's perceptions. My Mam often carries my bags if we're out and I'm conscious that it looks awful and that I should be the one carrying the bags, but it shows that if anyone is judging, they're narrow minded. You never know what is going on in a person's life. You seem so much happier since your operation. I'm delighted that all went well and you're recovering well x

I think your transparency re you enhancement removals is fabulous. People feel shame humiliation etc about this stuff . You are happy and it comes across which is great. You are a different person. I have had 15 abdominal surgeries and have a mesh in my stomach, I also suffer from RA and you know what I have asked passing strangers to put my suitcase in the back of my car so many times. People are nice and understand. Do not pick anything heavy, just don't. Give your body time to heal properly. Thanks ever so for this fun vlog and that blue colour is your colour. :)

I can't remember if you said you're taking arnica or not. But, arnica cream or gell will help with the itching and the scaring, and you can use it on top of taking an internal dose of arnica.

Sodium will cause swelling. If you still have pain in calfs...could be dehydration or deep vein thrombosis. Just take care of yourself. Happy healing🙏🙏🙏

Lydia just tap the makeup brush no blowing on it. U two with the makeup, its exactly like my daughter doing my makeup and giving out to me about my makeup . Me saying how long it's taken and why do I need this and that. I had an operation in December my scar is 9 inches long, and my Doctor suggested bio oil for the scar , best thing no inching. my after care nurse suggested it as well. Also I was told after the normal swelling from the operation goes down, if I swell that's a sign I'm over doing it. My operation wasn't same as yours, but recovering from a operation the same.

The comments that you made about wanting to have a banner to say “I just had surgery” and empathizing with people with illnesses that people can’t readily identify really made me feel seen for a moment. Having fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis and a few other diagnoses that people wouldn’t know about unless i told them, that just really limits the things I can and can’t do.
