I think painting the inside of the pond blue with a safe paint would be really cool and help the color of the fish pop out instead of against the black. I think the shallow tide pool pond is a really cool idea!

I do like the shrimp you have they are pretty you just need a couple box crabs now. And a aquarium with a big Moray Eel that you can train. Or one with a variety of them.

If you can safely paint them, that would be incredible. You could lighten the background to mimic water shimmering, the floor to mimic sand and rocks etc. just simple colors could do a great deal. I love angler fish, they make me smile with their little grumpy faces….

Raise the pools up so they are like waist height and you can put storage underneath them could even make them look like a sink and if you build something like that you could make it so it has somewhere to hang lights above them.

tide pool and frog fish for smaller bins your current pond should be the tangs and little colorful guys and get something big for a shark pond so you could maybe do a bonnet head and a some clown nose sting ray
