I am humbled that you mention me when you see Beer Cans. Those Rheingold's and Knickerbockers would be a very tough flip. Unlidded Aluminum and you'd sell to anyone that would buy. All worth less than a buck, if you found a buyer, Flat-tops, cones and those Princeton reunion cans sell rather well. Actually the item worth the most with those cans was the Knickerbocker flat box they from the 70's. You are training all of our collective eyes. Most see a cigarette case, you see gold trim. thanks for posting - we missed you.

I think my favorite bit, was the blotter. At first glance, those figures resembled the Green Man. Maybe they were gargoyles. Whatever the case, it was great. Isn't finding gold trinkets a joy? I love when it happens. Good call on the scrap. The damage would have probably held the price down on an online selling platform and you couldn't have with known with certainty, how much value in precious metal weight you had. Good on ya all around.
