funny i sold every piece of shit Milwaukee for the same exact reason you claimed with snap on. Not to mention Milwaukee e service is a JOKE at best. Took 4 months to get my 3/8 stubby back to me last time i warrantied it for the second time in 2 years. Snap on customer service is unbeatable. Warranty doesnt = better product. Take doorman for example. Lifetime warranty yes, good product, NO!

Look into Nepros ratchets and sockets and Koken tools ratchets, sockets etc. i have a Nepros ratchet on the way and i cant wait til it gets here. Absolute works or art for the same if not cheaper than Snap-On. And they are better quality in every way

I have the M12 in 3/8 drive and I love it. The main point with regard to user comfort is not just the handle form but the perfect angle which is easier on the hand and a natural position for the wrist.

I was a mechanic for 28 years in a car dealer and I too had every snap on tool they made.......about 4 years ago my 3/8 snap on 14.4v impact went bad and it was only 13 months old. So I had to send in for repair and pay out of pocket......then a couple months later my battery wouldn't charge anymore and the snap on dealer said I would have to buy a new one..... I got so pissed off that I went out to home Depot and bought a 3/8 impact 18v. Customer 5-year warranty on the tool and 3 years on the battery. Oh and half the price,,. Oh and more powerful! F*** snap on!

My old drill could do that, it was a 14.4 volt snap on. It was a great drill, loved it and I will eternally miss it. 7 years is a long life for a battery tool with me. But honestly, I'm glad it broke because I've gotten to try some newer toys 😎 and now I'm a very happy man.

This had absolutely no issue removing or reinstalling the lug nuts and it took off the axle nut without any struggle. Sounds like it's got some muscle to it. Time will tell

Yeah i've only heard how junk most of their stuff is. Batterys on the 14.4 being crap, 90% of the 14.4 tools being trash (besides maybe the ratchet and POSSIBLY the paddle switch impact). THose would be the two tools i would MAYBE consider if i just had to pick with no money cap. With money power ect in mind, Milwaukee forever.

I have the M12 stubby in 1/2” drive (model 2555). I use it all the time. All I can say is, so many people underestimate the Milwaukee stubby impacts. They perform amazingly for their size. I also have the 1/4” drive. For small fasteners, it’s awesome.

I can say being a Technician I have had the snap-on and Milwaukee tools and the Milwaukees always seem to shine over the snap-on! I have 1/4 snap-on little impact that has nothing but problems with the rocker switch never have had much problems with the Milwaukee stuff other than the frictions ring falling off after two hard year or use !

Let me point out snap on impacts are dated, there hasn't been much innovation in the past 10 years, that's why so many companies have caught up and left them in the dust. I have multiple snap on 14..4v tools and 18v but I've been converting to Milwaukee tools. No complaints from snap on, after years of use my 14.4 are dying and the cost to replace is high. I got lucky with my 14.4 and the rest of my snap on stuff thurough my Technical college so 60% off retail from snap on. Student Excellence program by Snap on took full of advance of it.

As I have stated in another comment on a different video. I am kind of a snap-on fan boy. I really enjoy their hand tools, especially their wrenches, ratchets, and sockets. I also really like my snap-on classic toolbox as well. However I couldn't recommend anybody buying snap-on power tools, cordless or pneumatic. Granted the snap-on air hammer is the only pneumatic tool I can warrant that will out perform others but it's also a $500 air hammer. I love my IR's for pneumatic tools and Milwaukee has done incredible things in regards to cordless tools.

I had only the MIlwaukee 1/2 Midtorque, needed the high torque because rustbelt...i ordered it up after i got some cash in, and i kid you not, Snap on rep came like a week later showing off the new electric one. Guess he seen i had the mid torque. Yeah i'd rather not spend like 1k or some for a less warranty (i think simmilar power on some of the SUPER new ones) but just issues. @@baileyhatfield4273 first milwaukee tool i bought was the 2662-21 high torque, i fell in love with it as it undone every bolt i throw at it till the batteries started getting tired, replaced the batteries with a new 6ah high output and it brought the thing back to life, but i was getting a lil annoyed about how long the head was on it so i decided to finally upgrade to the M18FMTIWF12-0 mid-torque which is about 3 inchs shorter then the previous one and has the same amount of torque as well, So happy with it, Only thing this couldn't undo was a bloody honda harmonic balancer bolt. I have always looked at snapon as over priced Chinese crap and never bought any of there stuff. And I'm so happy i never did. 😁

I love Snap-On's 18v 1/2 inch brushless though, comparable to the milwaukee at least, I have not come across anything it couldn't take off yet. Light and medium duty.

They are horrible with prices, and nothing shows that there is a benefit to using their ELECTRIC tools. Their hand tools are quite nice (still highly overpriced in a lot of regards) but atleast you get just a decent tool out of them. (also their warranty). I can't imagine spending 800 bucks for a damn impact that is bigger less powerfull and less warranty ect than a ''cheaper'' milwaukee which is a real stubby.

You should compare the new dewalt 12v impact wrench i think dcf901 to the m12. Dewalt claims more torque but who knows. Real tests is where it matters. I do imagine the dewalt having more torque tho since its so much newer and dewalt knew what it was competing against

I will say their wrenches from back in the day did make the difference and came in clutch when the other open ends were flexing but i don't even know if modern snap-on wrenches compare to the 70's. People step onto that snap-on truck and justify a bad purchase by saying these tools make me money. They are buying toys, not tools. I bought the Milwaukee stubby already and feel like it was a smart purchase.

That really depends. I would say that if you're looking to remove a lot of lug nuts and bigger fasteners, then go with the 1/2". If it's mainly for under-the-hood stuff, then the 3/8" is a great choice. Thanks for watching.

You’re probably going to break adapters on it anyways so go with whichever one has more use to you- I would suggest 1/2”. Anything less than half inch you shouldn’t need a crazy impact like this.

They are exactly the same, just a different anvil... go with what ever size you have in sockets... if you have alot of 3/8 sockets go with that, if you have alot of 1/2 sockets go with that. I have the 3/8 version and have zero regrets... takes off lug nuts and anything else you would expect it to take off.

With regards to the Snap-on red and green lights what is someone supposed to do if they are color blind? In addition, why wouldn’t you pair the M12 6 amp battery to even up they playing field? Not only is the Snap-on an 18v, it’s equipped with a 5 amp battery (probably 21700 batteries...).

There are no 21700 5 Ah batteries. And it's definitely more humiliating that a 6 cell pack is beating a tool with 10 cells.

Milwaukee has much power and it looks slim. Smaller than snap on and fits in tight spaces and u have the choice to use bigger 12v battery. I have the stubby 1/4 drive and it has 100 ft.lb nut busting torque. Amazing. Milwaukee is the best. Better warranty , better tool. No comparison. 👍

I used my m12 1/2 stubby on skid steer like 1 1/4 socket, bolts on tight, they came off with the stubby! Mid torque was to big to get it in

Only think i gotta say is that Snap on has the market with their little straight slim long baby impact. the 220 ft lbs one or whatever it is. Its long but narrow so its nice for some things where the stubby mine not be optimal. Then again slap an extension on the milwaukee and you're set.

The Milwaukee all the way around is a better tool for a 1/3 of the price, plus it looks waaaaaay better. Snap on needs to update there 90s look and just simply build a better tool especially for that price.

Man, I was gon go with the 1/2 but ill be getting the mid torque later down the road as well and it'll be 1/2. And I want my impact to be compatible with as much sockets I have. So ill probably get a 3/8 and the mid torque, a 1/2 is that a good idea? Or do you recommend 3/8 instead for the stubby? I'm fine for either one but I can't decide

So let me get this right, the snappy gets beat by a tool that's smaller in every dimension, lighter, a third the price, and the milwaukee has more power on the table with the 6.0 battery? Lol i jus cant figure why ppl would spend 3.5x the price for snap on. Bigger, beefier, and less powerful and a ridiculous price. The stubby aint my favorite i prefer the makita xdt15z which is a powerhouse for its size but obviously the stubby is a powerhouse for its size too since its even smaller. Idc if the makita is a little bigger because its still compact and if i need more compact i just use the m12 right angle. And the makita feels awesome in the hand. I really dont like how the stubby feels in the hand. I use to have it but got rid of it

I like it, for sure not a perfect tool for everyone, kind of has its own market. Makita seems to have some decent things coming out, not much of that around where i live, mostly dewalt, and then i can order or drive a bit to get milwaukee. They're more geared for well...most trades so that's why i picked them (automotive included). I watch torque test channel and some of them makitas are pretty nice.

Im im in the construction field myself primarily metal working so maybe thats why absolute smallest and with having a right impact works for me. Dewalt is my go to brand that i have many tools in for the past 11 years ive been doing this. Makita a secondary brand i got invested some into jus within the past year

Having a half inch anvil on the Milwaukee would be unfair giving the advantage to snap on anyway. It takes more to turn a half inch than a 3/8 inch. So I would think it would just prove Milwaukee is better even more so with the 3/8.

for a $800 18v impact to be equal or less then a m12 impact at less then $300 is your answer. for 800 it should blow the m12 out of the water. the snap-on fan boys will cry again.

At some point, if you are going to crush some fanboy feelings it may be better to do it with gusto so Snapon gets an earful and comes back something actually competitive :) Plus aren't many snap-on customers used to getting abused already, maybe they like it...
