Short 5: Patching Cracks

In this episode we learn to do fiberglass patches over cracks in resin or plastic.

Very good tip, especially on halting the crack propagation. Drilling a hole at the end of the crack reduces the stress concentration at the weakest point by increases the radius at the vertex of the crack. You know your stuff.

Thanks, Boss. Unfortunately I dropped my helmet transporting it and it created the dreaded cracks at the corners of the visor. I will implement this technique to hopefully get it in better shape. Now to find a better way to attach the visor...
