That final mountain shot is the greatest extreme-long- shot in an 80s movie. It's like a landscape painting.

This was one of my favorite childhood movies. And I always thought the end theme was madly spectacular. Every time the end credits would start rolling, I would find myself dancing to this song with passion. Gotta love the classics.

Don't know if you peeps are aware, but there was a Happy Hardcore version of this classic song released back in 1997, one DJ Stompy - "Come Follow Me"; one of the best HH tunes ever, no more, no less. Just punch 'stompy come follow me' into the search bar (any of the topmost 3 vids will do), and then make sure to turn the volume UP!!!!!!!!

Great bonus: every time this movie's on TV in Britain they ALWAYS let these credits play out!

Then thank you for it. I didn't know who sang it. Long live Johnny 5!!

I've no idea and I was asking myself the same question! Most of the scenes we see during the credits are from the movie, but I've always wondered if the others had been deleted, like the one with the small white robot. I wish there was a special edition of the movie with deleted scenes. And I have to say it again: I love this song!

I would kill to see these deleted scenes! Ugghhhhh!

Holy crap I remember 4:11 so very well. 16 years gone by (I was 8 when I watched this, I was born in 86, the year the movie came out) and I still remember watching this over and over trying to find that part in the movie. You'd think I would have been smart enough to figure it out, but no not me. I was a stupid kid.

I have the dvd of this and the second movie. It would have been nice if they included the deleted scenes in some bonus footage with Johnny and that little robot, or when he’s in the junkyard…but they don’t :/

#5 had seen a three stooges movie in Stephanie's (Ally) house and the other three robots were later dispatched to shut him down. He caught all three robots then rewired and reprogrammed them to act out the scene. The junk yard shots were used later in part 2 when the diamond thieves tried to recycle him.

PS. Having said that, HUUUUGE respect to David Shire, Max Carl and Marcy Levy for the simply brilliant original, one of my top 3 80s end themes (along with Amy Holland - "Shooting For The Moon" and Jack Mack & The Heart Attack - "I'm Gonna Be Somebody") Respect!!!

Now....... Even if you're not a fan of Hardcore in general (guessing that would apply to most ;-)), I hope you'll agree with me that if you yourself were to try and do a version of this tune in that style, you couldn't POSSIBLY come up with better than this astounding production! Geezer should get free beers the rest of his life I reckon :-)

@OliveJewel It's some kind of actual toy robot from the 80s... but I'd put money on the Pixar guys having been heavily influenced by the short circuit films in their designs for Wall-E and putting plentiful affectionate references in on purpose :)

11 million for the computer and the work to get one online I would assume. A plane as parts is cheap compared to a pre-assembled plane that comes with all the trimmings and fuel.
