The film focuses on four different situations where access to safe and legal abortion is a human right, and showing how strict abortion laws will affect the lives of Americans.
The United States Supreme Court has ruled to end protections to the right to abortion. Take action now and demand that governors across the USA stop the abortion bans and protect the right to abortion care now.
On June 24th, 2022 the United States Supreme Court ruled to end protections to the right to abortion. This means that now individual states across the USA regulate the right to abortion. Abortion is now totally or near-totally banned in 26 states in the USA - more than half of the country - with more poised to enact restrictions or bans on the right to abortion.
It’s clear: the United States is regressing when it comes to the human right to abortion care.
Access to abortion is a human right. Under international human rights law, everyone has a right to life, a right to health, and a right to be free from violence, discrimination, and torture or other cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment. Forcing someone to carry a pregnancy against their will - for whatever reason - is a violation of those rights. Abortion must be legal, safe and accessible for all.
Around the world and specifically in the Americas, people increasingly have access to abortion as a human right. Call on the world to tell the USA not to roll back human rights.

I consider myself a right leaning Liberarian and I agree with little of what Amnesty International says, but it is INCONCEIVABLE to me how this, a video that SO PERFECTLY encapsulates that WE ARE NO LONGER THE LAND OF THE FREE, only has around 5k views after 2 months. Some of these comments are sickening. I know people shouldn't be pressured into abortion but people should also be able to abort, do you not realise single mothers about to give birth to more then one child, and also what if your not financially ready. Don't force abortion but don't force women to potentially die from lack of abortion or financially unready women to have children. This could potentially be the new biggest killer for women in the US due to the lack of abortion rights even when you will die from childbirth and suicide after birth from lack of being able to care for the children born and then potentially abusive foster homes causing those children to commit suicide, its a loop and probably the downfall of female education and the US as a whole, people will emigrate en masse and women won't have time to pursue their life goals.

But think of the reasons they get one, and think of what kids face today, and what happened when women originally couldn't have an abortion. Reasons: a teen child is raped and molested, now pregnant. They are at risk of losing their house because a parent kicked them out, at risk of suicide and a bunch of mental issues like PTSD and depression, and medical issues such as STDs, eating disorders, and substance abuse. These are only some things, not including the fact that they are a teen and even if they aren't, poorer women who live off of food stamps and unemployment income is NOT enough to take care of a baby. What ALL people face today: Suicidal thoughts, self harm, and a numerous amount of medical conditions and disorders are rampaged- as you may know if you're an adult, bills and taxes and food to last one week is VERY expensive. Imagine having to take care of a child with all of this on your plate. Before: When abortions were illegal, women were shoving hangers in them so they could get an abortion and almost bleeding out. Many women died from this, and not only were they using hangers to get procedures from people with no medical history or medical history at all, people now take pills and try to overdose on substances to get rid of their baby. Having a child can be tough without any support.

I understand that mothers lives can be in danger or that there are instances where both mother and child can die especially when it's a child who has been raped. What I don't believe is right is in the instance when someone wants to have a night of fun and has sex resulting in pregnancy, you don't have a right to complain, you shouldn't get to kill a child because he or she is inconvenient to your life or because taking care of a child will ruin the fun and freedom of your youth. It's irresponsible, immature, and nothing short of immoral to abort the child in that instance.

When I was a student I thought Amnesty supported human rights. Now I see they're working in the opposite direction on this one. Let's make a simple analogy. Take a child one month old. No-one would even dream of saying that killing it is a matter of "personal choice" for the parents. Now look at how the foetus develops week by week. It is a little human we're talking about! People use a lot of other terms such as "reproductive rights" to cover up the reality of killing - which is in fact the opposite of reproduction. This is not a left or right issue, it is a life or death issue - the life of that precious little human. Giving up for adoption is a great alternative.

There are millions of women pressured into abortions by their families and would-be fathers,every year. Society telling them that having a baby means the end of your happiness, and that your situation is a tragedy. It's sickening. If your friend of family member gets pregnant, you support and help them arrange what needs to be arranged to prepare for motherhood. You don't push them (during their most vulnerable phase in their whole life) into having their own child killed so that they can think "what if" the rest of their lives, and so that you don't have to deal with them becoming mothers and welcoming a new baby into your life. Abortion is not freedom for the pregnant woman. It's freedom for everyone around her to not have to be decent humam beings. @@yungime it's not "some" women. I would argue it's most women. When you have a positive pregnancy test at the age of 17, what is the first thought going through your head? "do I want to be a mother?" or "shit, what do I tell my parents? What will everyone at school think?" I'd say the latter. Actually considering motherhood is as stigmatised today ad it was 50 years ago, and it needs to stop. We're in 2022 for crying out loud. How have we not stopped saying stuff like "she's way too young to have a child", "she got pregnant and she's not even in a stable relationship? How irresponsible. What a slut.". Except now we have the dark void of abortion to push these girls into instead of saying, "you're pregnant? How exciting! Motherhood will really suit you!", "would you like me to help you take notes in class? We can totally help you graduate, don't worry about it, just focus on your health now", "do you need a sitter? Most of my Sundays are open if you need time to get stuff done or just need a break!" Heck, I'd say the stigmatisation has gotten worse after inventing medicalised abortions. Now we think that killing your unborn child is better than putting a small pause on the less meaningful things in life. And we look at women who don't opt for abortions as lesser women who screwed up.

@@Alaitha I live in Norway and my country is a high cost place to live. Here the average price for raising a child ffrom birth until it is 18 is predicted to between 95 000 to 100 000 dollars. This is considered a modarate budget. Lets shave off 30% of that number since the U.S. is a cheaper place to live, but if you think that everybody in the US has that kind of money to help their friends and family (and I agre with you that it is a wonderfull thing to help people in need) I think you need to rethink.

Buddy, not everyone chooses to have sex. Let me share a lil story with ya. When I was very young a guy tried to have sex with me. I did not know what sex was (or what multiplication was for that matter) and agreed bc lil kindergarten me thought it was a silly game. The guy pinned me to a wall and pulled down his pants. He pulled down my pants as well and… I don’t wanna talk about this part. Fortunately the man was a dumbass and SA’d me in a public area so my mom found him before he could penetrate my yk what.
