A great lesson Zack, I am one that just can't seem to pinch the ball most of the time. I have been working a lot on my short game for chipping greenside, this should help. Thank you

Great advice. Looking forward to practising this. And thank you for leaving the duff shot in the video. It's important that we don't think everyone else is perfect. It's too easy to beat yourself up in this game.

HaHa on Take 1 Zach :-) But if you open the clubface, you have to be careful about opening the clubface further on the way back. Best way I've found is to keep your normal grip with clubface square, then open it on the way back and KEEP it open on the way through. Club really slides through nicely. OR, if you open the clubface in your grip, then just take it back normally, do NOT try to open it further - shanks and thins will increase.

Zack - great video! At P1 for distance wedges, where do you like to see the club face? Do you have any distance wedges videos?

Coming soon! Face will be stronger or more turned down towards the golf ball for these shots.

It’s pretty hard to find, I got this one on eBay, and paid like $90 US for it.

Zach, I've been working on your exact technique to hit high and low pitches and chips. On the full swing, to avoid a pull left, I've been opening the clubface. The results were high, weak and very short. On longer clubs, I tend to pull left badly. The only fix is to hit the ball at 7 o'clock, but I still hit draws. How can I fade my irons and avoid shanks and high short shots? Thanks a million!

The key would be to create an impact which has the clubface slightly open to help hit a fade, but also have the club de lofted, to lower the trajectory. Having your hand forward and some bow in your lead wrist at impact should help.

Zach regarding the changing of the club gave are we talking opening in prior to swing ie when we grip the club or is it a change of face angle as we swing the club?
@ZachAllenGolf2 жыл бұрын
Could be a combo of both at address and during the backswing, especially for the highest of trajectories. And could be one or the other for a medium high shot depending on which one you prefer.

I've been taught to keep the arms close to the body, with little to no movement in the wrist when looking for loft??

To clarify, my short game has been pretty good, maybe because I'm missing a lot of greens. On full shots, my standard miss is a pull left. Opening the clubface doesn't work. Square face still gets pulls, no matter what. What is a good fade technique for 8i thru 5i? My 4i fades naturally. What feel am I looking for? Thanks!

I reviewed Faults & Fixes in your Consistency Code video. I'll try the Stork Stance and weaken my grip. I think Fred Couples swings like that! Kinda open-hips, exaggerates swing path to the left. Thanks!
