My mother taught me to use the sewing machine when my dad passed from cancer. He was 36. I was 9. She insisted it would come in handy all my life and it has. I've fixed uniforms when on the police dept. Mended clothes for brothers and sisters. However, that machine you have is so cool. Smooth and easy and I want one....even though I don't NEED one.

If LV won't fix their own cracked canvas, we can always come to you! Personally, its just a bag, if someone wants to keep using it, and there is no other way of fixing it, i don't see anything wrong with making changes to the bag. Sometimes we just don;t want to part with the memories attached to certain things.

I pretty much understood everything you did in this 'vintage, silent video'. Can you at some point explain why you chose the 'wheel' sewing machine as opposed to the walking foot sewing machine. I know you have a reason. The fix to the bag looks like it was originally built with the leather accent at the opening. Your design matched and worked perfectly. I know the customer will be very happy with that fix and the new straps.
