It was initially the captain's fault, when engine 4 failed he ordered a restart which wasn't possible due to the altitude and the autopilot couldn't stop the right bank without manual rudder application, so it started to dive because the autopilot pulled up to maintain altitude and so the plane stalled into a dive.

@@leckerpI know i’m not the same person but japan airlines flight 123 was a 747 that crashed at mount takamagahara in japan, about 12 minutes after take off a piece of the tail broke off. The pilots deployed the landing gear but went into mountainous terrain there was no where to land, the pilots kept the plane in the air for 30 minutes and then crashed into the mountain and no one survived. The 30 minutes might not sound much but people recreated the crash in a simulator but did not get 30 minutes. (I am so sorry if i said something wrong)

Yeah I’m honestly surprised it didn’t rip apart fully with how much pressure the plane went through. They were lucky it was just a few damages on the belly. But the pilots definitely deserve a raise or something good they saved everyone in a almost impossible situation idk how they pulled it off but they did ( I watched whole documentary thing on it even though it was the pilots fault he made a huge mistake but what was most important was his ability to save everyone )

@@kenanhv5186 yeah also I forgot to mention that it’s also not entirely the captains fault as for some reason they didn’t think that pilots need sleep especially if they are going to fly a plane for long hours, the captain was fatigued because of his work schedule and when he had to fly. But things are better then what they used to be at least from what I see from other videos that they implement things after somethin happens to get more safety. I’m just wondering why they don’t think about it beforehand before it happens like everyone needs sleep it’s important for a reason. (Also I know I said it was the captains fault a lil yes for the mistakes but that only happened bc of fatigue so the airline or whatever is more at fault )

For anyone curious, it was actually fixed by the 25th of April of the same year and kept flying for China Airlines, as well as Mandarin Airlines until the very late ninety’s. In 2002 it was rescued from a boneyard in Nevada and started doing some humanitarian missions for Global Peace Ambassadors from 2004 to just 2005, when it was taken away by the FAA, since the aircraft was not maintained properly and was flown to Tijuana International Airport (MMTJ), where it just sat parked. In 2018 it had its newest registration (N4522V) cancelled due to “expiration” and was reported to be seen in 2020 and that’s kind of it, however apparently it is “stored”. You can actually find it sitting at Tijuana International on satellite pictures, but these aren’t brand new (I bet at least 3 years old if not older). I think it’s still parked there, but of course I cannot prove it better.

For anyone wondering, the cause was due to the pilots in preoccupation with the inflight systems, failing to monitor one of the controls, not adjusting them properly, including the navigations. This lead to the aircraft compromising the instruments, controlling on its own.

My nana was on a mini plane of 22 people or so. This was when my mom was 4. My nana was headed to my grandpa. Mid flight, the mini plane hit a dead spot of air in the rough storm and fell. My nana saw things floating and realised she was going to die. 30 seconds later, she could see the tree line and braced for the crash, but in the last seconds, the pilot regained control, and everyone burst into tears.
