Must say you guys and Chuck are 2 of my favorite creators. There are only a few people I look for videos from daily and you both are on that list. You are however starting to make me doubt my retirement plans. I was planning to stay in the Cha Am/Hua Hin area. But after watching yours and Chuck's videos Udon is looking more and more as a serious contender.

Appreciate that. You should come and stay here for 6 months before deciding. There are great hotels here, close to Nong Prajak Park where you can book a room for a month at a time for just 6,000 thb. Udon Thani is a wonderful place to live.

I often eat at the home front style, maybe one or two tables older looking established. Example walking between udhon 2 lakes down side streets see these, typical an elderly woman I want to support. I see mixed comments on food concerns regarding getting food poison. Any thoughts on this? I should note I live in a very thai style. So the thai I know are ok with these places, the expats often not ok. Loving Thailand, exploring for retirement location, of course if a thai lady fancies me than her home town will influence. Only ever had food poisoning once, and that was when we were here on holiday. Took a boat trip to an island and lunch was included. Was really bad. The other thing is that I have discovered that MSG makes me ill and so try to avoid it at all costs.

@@TheIsaanFarang only poison i got was on holiday Phi Phi Island seafood squid. Avoiding MSG 100% as you know is difficult in Thailand. It is used in almost all public cooking, maybe in your kebab meat you ate? When I get a fruit smoothie I ask for no msg or sugar and I have to watch or they will put it in out of habit. In restaurants I don't even ask anymore as msg is that popular.

​@@TheIsaanFarangwas thinking of this. One year I grew and ate so much arugula I became allergic, stopped a year, then fine. Maybe cut back msg and future some msg fine? Anyways, just a thought, take care 🙏
