Sure but this card is not for you then, its enthusiast grade, you can say the same thing with cars,food, housing, you name it. But lets be real here the pricetag wont matter for the 30 series cards, i think nvidia realeases in a 4 year cycle were around 1 year down since the cards were announced i think, stuff wont calm down until 2022 and the question is what "calm down" means. Tsmc's new factorys wont be done for years to come, so the only way we can buy cards at reasonable prices is if enough people lose interest in buying one.

12GB of Ram for the 3080 Ti, is more than enough. As it’s primarily a gaming card and not a productivity card. Most games won’t even fully saturate 8GB, let alone 10GB, and in this case 12GB. So yeah…”not enough RAM” is not really an issue with this card. If you NEED that RAM, get the 3090. If you just wanna play games at MAX frames then get the 3080 Ti for less money.
@lilv7282 жыл бұрын
yeah seriously, I thought that "not enough RAM" comment was stupid as well. It's a gaming card. What game out right now can saturate 12gb of VRAM at max settings? Like you said, if you need the VRAM for work then get a 3090, this is basically the 3090 aimed at gaming.
@LuciferXV2 жыл бұрын
4k will do it quite easily. Call of duty will use up a lot of it. Far cry 6 with the hd texture pack warns that if you don't have this much you will get performance issues. Escape from tarkov will use all of it and still use 19 gb of system ram as well. Sure if you want to upgrade every 2 years who cares how much memory they put in it but most people want to keep their cards a long time and more and more games will use it.
@BigBear--2 жыл бұрын
@@LuciferXV I think you're mistaking the VRAM usage "number" that you might see on a screen overlay software like MSI Afterburner/RivaTuner, or Percision X for actual VRAM usage. Some games for no reason will request to "reserve" a bunch of VRAM, making it appear as if its actually using that to render the game, when in reality its using much less. So the monitor might say 12GB of VRAM in usage, while the GPU is actually only using 6GB for actual rendering. Have no idea why developers do that, or if its just an oversight, but this is a common known thing with certain games/software. RAM alone won't make a card faster either past the useful amount (in gaming) anyway, and different architectures aren't necessarily comparable on just the VRAM size, as their effeciency and VRAM utilization is very different. There are actually instances where more VRAM will hurt performance, which is why the 3080 Ti outperforms the 3090 in some games, even though it has less cores, and less VRAM. All that being said is just to say that at the high end, VRAM alone isn't really a deciding factor for gaming considerations.
@kryptopcgamer5892 жыл бұрын
@@BigBear-- I have a 3070 and i couldnt run Forza 5 in max settings at 1440p or far cry 6 at max settings. It says I was running out of vram and was stuttering like hell. Upgraded to 3080ti for this very reason
@BigBear--2 жыл бұрын
@@kryptopcgamer589 that's why I said "most games", not "All". Though with a 3070 even if it had 24 GB of VRam, I doubt it'd be able to run Max settings in those games, maybe, but probably not. The Vram amount is tuned/set to what the rest of the card could realistically utilize. 3070 doesn't have enough cores, or power to fully handle max settings in most games. It's a great midrange card, but its not a top stack perfromer. 3080Ti is a great card for gaming. It received a bunch of (what i considered) undeserved hate from reviewers when it came out. I think they were just fatigued with the then current chip shortage and didn't like the idea of another product sub-stacked into the mix. I personally loved it since the day it came it, as it provided same or better than performance of the 3090, for a lot less money. I guess the only thing I wish is that I either had a chance to buy it a lot earlier than I did, or waited a bit longer. I got a chance to buy it about 4-5 months ago, as part of the EVGA queue system. Had I waited another 4 months, I could've gotten it a bit cheaper than MSRP. Funny part is because I'm in the middle of a prolonged move, and the fact that my father needed my computer to work from home, the brand new 3080Ti FTW3 is still sitting unopened in the box it came in. Depends on where you live and what you are looking for. There are plenty of 6700XT’s, 16-series cards and 2060’s in Europe, though the prices fluctuate wildly. 3060’s can be found as well with some patience, but 6800 and up and 3060 ti and up are a gamle.

@@a1216b didn’t write Supers, though I have seen a few here and there. And I did not write anything about reasonable prices either, as I actually wrote the prices fluctuate wildly. Sometimes I see reasonable prices, though, especially with new releases, but the prices are quick to jack up to real market prices right after the release. If you live in the EU and are on the lookout for GPU’s or CPU’s, you should check out the German site Mind Factory. It’s first come, first served, so you have to be quick, when the cards drop, but it seems they get good stock and are not plagued by bots, so if you see a card available, you should be able to get it.

NO. A DC brushless motor cannot be used as a generator and cannot power a circuit. In the hub is a microcontroller which switches MOSFETs to electrically commutate the poles in the motor to attract the permanent magnets in the rotor and cause it to rotate. Spinning such a motor manually can generate current in the coil, but would only apply that voltage to a couple of MOSFETs. It cannot go farther than that.
