You forgot to mention THE most important feature that this phone has which other flag ship phones like Samsung, do not support. This phone supports charger bypassing, so if you wanted to game for HOURS on end, or stream for hours, etc.. & are at home or on a long train journey or anywhere with a mains plug socket, then you can power the phone DIRECTLY from the mains WITHOUT the battery being involved, so unlike with Samsung for example, the battery is not constantly charging-discharging-charging-discharging when using it whilst plugged in, so it doesn't massively reduce the battery life of a phone with a non-replaceable battery by eating up the charge-discharge number of life cycles.

After a quick trip to GSMArena's phone comare tool, it does appear that the only differences between the 6 and 6 Pro are the rear screen, the colors (the 6 has black as an option, while the 6 Pro only comes in white), and the storage memory configurations (the 6 starts with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, and goes up to 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM; the 6 Pro only offers 512GB of storage and 18GB of RAM, so at the very least, you can get more RAM with the Pro). So really, unless that tool is inaccurate, the Pro only really gives you the rear display, and the ability to get 18GB of RAM over 16 (the $1000 of the 6 is the 512/16 one), and you have to pay $300 for those. Two extra gigs of RAM really doesn't seem like it'd make a difference when you already have 16GB, so it all depends on how valuable you'd find that rear display. I can definitely see how it it could be useful, but it doesn't seem worth the $300 the 6 Pro costs over the 6. So overall, the regular ROG Phone 6 seems like the smarter buy, unless you would REALLY appreciate that rear display.

Because to me it sounds like the ROG 6 has more fidelity in the lower-mids while the iPhone just sounds anemic. The iPhone especially sounds anemic outdoors when that somewhat impressive lower end doesn't come through. If the ROG 6 is anything like the prior model, there's a whole bunch of settings and tweaks to tune the speakers to your liking, and even an outdoor mode that boosts the volume and makes it sound more compressed (louder) kind of like how the iPhone sounds out of the box. I've just started the review, but man... I quite literally begged my supervisor/the person above me to see if we could get a ROG 6 installed at our display. We have an ASUS phone, but it's one of the "worse" ones, and, well...it doesn't look as cool. I've had customers who've wanted decent 'gaming phones', and, well...this one looks absolutely stunning... And it's the same-ish price as the S22 series! It looks really fun, and I am of the opinion our whole display stand needs a revamp, especially where we display a few more fun colours (the Xiaomi 11t is done DIRTY, we have the black one displayed, yet the other colours are absolutely STUNNING). And just...I would like to sell some other phones than Samsungs, Motorola, and (urgh) iPhones. Basically, as a phone seller, I would like to sell some phones that I know my customers would like. And like, the price is something akin to the s22 series and more expensive Xiaomi and OnePlus. So with someone in that bracket, wanting better RAM and a good CPU...this would be nice. And the quality of the cameras aren't actually as bad as I feared; they're pretty damn good, and it's better than the s21 FE. Though, my annoyance with the phone is the IPX6 rating. It's not waterproof, which...really sucks tbh. So a fancy phone, for specific people, but I would at least love to have it displayed since a lot of our phones are the same boring ones all the time

I use the ROG5 love it, love how quick everything is. I have connected an Xbox controller to it a couple times for gaming and it works but i don't game that often on it. If you use you phone to check out stock charts the 5 works pretty well. Loads everything fast and i don't notice lag when switching between apps. Admittedly I'm hoping the ROG7 comes out before I feel the need to upgrade. But I'd get the 6 if I didn't have the 5

@@hzzzzz1 I got the base model for $600 over a year ago. There's some tiny scratches on the screen that I can see when the phone is off. I don't have a screen protector on it, so I'd recommend getting one if you care about that. I'm also concerned about the lack of water resistance but haven't run into any problems because of it. It charges crazy fast on the charger it comes with but there's a lot of battery health software built in for slower charging, limited charging, ect that makes me feel like the phone will last longer than my last phone, (Samsung note 8). So far the ROG5 has been my favorite phone and I'll will be sticking with asus for my next couple phones at least. But I don't really go for apple products. One thing people often forget is it's more than just storage, it's a backup, if something should happen to your phone everything that isn't synced over the cloud or something is just gone, if you save your pictures to an sdcard then you can be sure that they'll be safe and make it to your main cloud / whatever backup, plus it makes managing music or other media a lot easier, especially since google massively handicaps file management apps without root access, with good reasons of course but still non-rooted Android is mildly aggravating.

@@SmokinTsChannel Seems like you don't quite understand. This is advertised as a 'gaming' device. Asus implements audio and energy management much better than any brand I have used. Audio: Sabre dac for headphone amp, quad-dac for inbuilt speakers. Energy: Bypass Charging, Reverse Charging, Dual battery Parallel charging, Separate Parallel charging from two ports, Steady Charging option, Limit Charging option to 80%, failover power when one battery fails etc etc. They can supply with shitty batteries like samsung and iphone and still be able to maintain battery health for years. For one, I had badly dropped my rog5 few months ago and one of the two batteries got totally disconnected while another was connecting loosely. My phone was running on a single 3000mah battery for days before I took it for repairs. And when both were out, I was simply able keep the phone on purely by using a powerbank due to divine bypass charging. Even funnier, the phone has reverse charging on the other usb-C port!! I was able to charge my temporary feature phone on the side before the power bank came into the picture. The dual battery setup allows for parallel charging, generating less heat per charge rate and capacity. Heat is the sole reason for lithium battery degradation, including the wear from venturing outside the 20-80% capacity range. Asus had that covered too, with a software option to block charging at 80%
