Interesting to know that delta includes MQDs from credit card spend for status challenge; I thought they and United counted cash fares only

I find Frontier points to be worth around 0.5-0.75 cents each, depending on whether or not you have status. Surprisingly, it's worth less if you have status (refundability specifically) because it allows you to set a flight alert and get the lowest possible price.

Delta told me they start applications for status match after jan 31, it's not open yet, does anyone have a link to apply

4 Delta credit cards? I would hate to use 4 out 5 Amex credit card slots for Delta.

You don't necessarily need to do it that way. You could upgrade a Platinum card to a Reserve card or downgrade a Reserve to a Platinum. That said, if you're primarily a Hyatt person, you may not care about the Amex Marriott / Hilton cards, in which case the only Amex credit card (as opposed to the Pay Over Time cards) that's widely worthwhile is the Blue Business Plus card. -Nick

For temporary status earned through status match (e.g. AA platinum pro from Hyatt, but haven’t met the challenge), can it be used to match to other airline statuses?

By the terms of most matches, no. That said, it sometimes still works. -Nick

Can’t you downgrade or upgrade the delta cards into delta platinum cards to effectively have delta gold status for $1000?

The terms of the southwest status match say that you don't get A-list benefits for trips booked before your status match. Is this enforced? I have a couple trips booked on SW and don't want to rebook because of the price difference from when I booked.

I got a-list benefits for trips booked before my status match, but those trips did not count towards my challenge. I was required to do four or six segments and none of my trips booked before counted for the segment requirement. But I did get the benefits applied during those trips.
