May Allah Bless our good Sheikh. Speaking of Salah, make sure to pray in the earliest time in the congregation (if you are a man). Narrated Ibn Mas`ud: A man asked the Prophet (ﷺ) "What deeds are the best?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "(1) To perform the (daily compulsory) prayers at their (early) stated fixed times, (2) to be good and dutiful to one's own parents, (3) and to participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause." Sahih al-Bukhari 7534

Below is an extract from Islam Q&A It says in Fatawa al-Lajnah al-Daimah (8/99): “The kind of travel for which the concession of travel is prescribed is that which is regarded as travel according to custom, and the distance is approximately eighty kilometers. Whoever travels this distance or more may avail himself of the concessions for travellers, such as wiping over his socks for three days and two nights, joining and shortening prayers, and not fasting during Ramadan. If this traveller intends to stay in a place for more than four days, then he should not avail himself of the concessions for travellers

So what is considered travelling? Exceeding a certain km limit?
@fulan03Ай бұрын
depends on what is considered travelling from where u are from, and if you do not know then stick to around 45-50 miles (idk what that is in km sorry)
@arshad.rahmanАй бұрын
If your intention is to go to a place that is situated at a distance of 80 or more Kilometers, then you are considered a traveller. You can shorten your prayer as soon as you leave your neighbourhood (as because your intention is to travel more than 80 kms).

It's still unclear to me, I'm a Taxidriver in Sweden and i leave my city a lot. I'm I considered as a traveler the moment i leave my home city borders or do i need to travel at least 80km before I'm considered a traveler?
@z.s6030Ай бұрын
You are leaving your city for work and coming back to sleep on a daily basis. This is not considered traveling on a journey. This is just commuting. Now if you are driving 80km or so or more because of your work then you would be safe to be considered a "traveler" as you've clearly gone well outside the city limits. I highly doubt Sweden city limits is 80km in distance. Another thing is to consider what is considered travelling for the people in your community. If it's common for people to take a highspeed train that takes you 100km within 5 min and people make this journey effortlessly and come back home quickly. Then this is not really travelling at that point. Like the sheikh said, in germany, you can go on the autobahn in quickly travel many kms and then come back just as fast with little to no time spent.

@@z.s6030 today people travelling by plane for just 1-2 hours to other countries. They are not only jama their Prayer but also break their Ramadhan fast. In prophet time ramadhan, when traveling some sahaba do fasting while some were not and does not speak ill to each other.
