In the little town of Black Falls, every house looks the same and almost everyone works for Black Box Unlimited Worldwide Industries, purveyors of a device that is sweeping the nation. Toe Johnson, 11, is unimpressed with the company and its wares; he just wants a few friends. Then, a wish-granting rock falls from the sky and changes everything. The town swarms with wishes gone amok, but the trouble really begins when adults get their hands on the rock.

People I know usually seem to have trouble with the idea of having the power to do literally anything through wishes, because you have to be very literal and specific. But you don't. You can simply say something along the lines of "I wish that everything I wish for, as long as I live, will happen exactly as I intend." You basically would have complete and total control over everything. Nothing could ever go wrong, you would have the power to do the impossible with no consequences.

so like fun fact as a child my bestfriend and I were so obessed with this movie that we literally rewrote the script, acted it out and filmed it all. We had so much fun making our fan movie that it inspired both of us to move into the career fields we wanted. My friend has worked on multiple local play and starred in small ads. Im self studying animation and we still work together to put together stories and character designs. this little adventure was such a push for us that it is still a fond favourite of mine and i still love this movie to this day,

"don't remember" sirs, i watched that movie regularly for an entire year, my sisters and i once spent a week exclusively watching this movie just over and over, i sing the helvetica theme song every single time i see the name of the font, EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. i hadn't watched this in years yet i was able to say the lines along with the characters, with the intonations and everything, i remember details of the plot with excruciating detail, my sisters and i sometimes still quote it, it is ENGRAVED in my memory for better or worse
