The Story Of Ralf And Clark - KOF Lore

The King Of Fighters series is just not the same without these beloved characters. Considered among the pillars of the franchise, Ralf Jones and Clark Still are present in every iteration of KOF.
And like many other characters, they come from a previous SNK title. Theirs is called the Ikari warriors, hence the name of their team.

It's cool because even though Clark is relatively stern and introspective, he still has fun showing off in his wrestling moves, in contrast to Ralf's bombastic but still serious fighting style. Its a clever deviation of the typical Ryu/Ken dynamic with the stern serious fighter vs outgoing cocky fighter

@@tnmblonewolf8799 I meant Kyo Kusanagi. Plays exactly like ryu. Shoryiken, hadouken, tatsumaki zenpukyaku, same controls, same effect. User friendly "shotokan" characters is what we called them. Generic ryu/ken. Non unique. Easy to figure out. Shallow strategies, easy to win with.

That's why Clark always wears sunglasses? Wow. I thought he was just trying to be cool. Clark is a character whom I always found hilarious just looking at him. Buff Wesker lol. Clark's EX Argentine Backbreaker in KoF XIV is one of the funniest supers in the series especially when he does it to Sylvie Paula Paula. I was surprised to learn that Clark was KoF pro ET's favorite character as I don't hear Clark mentioned very much. You forgot to mention how Ralf went on a rampage through a military base because someone stole his soda... The Ikari Warriors given their military background can fit in pretty much any KoF game, so you can throw them in without any issues with the story. As a matter of fact, the Ikari Warriors excluding Leona and Whip are the first characters who did not originate in a KoF game to win a KoF tournament in the KoF timeline.

Oh it must feel good to give the demon Saiki a taste of his own medicine with Clark. I do like these characters alot, and this video helped. It's a nice switch-up from your usual posterboys with uppers and fireballs. They are grapplers and charge characters. Underrated , and loved; like a distinct flavor that can only be tasted when you put aside the cheeseburger and fries, and go for the mixed green salad with variety colored vegetables, and grilled, seasoned garlic spiced skirt steak, or chicken breast. Great video.

Aahhh, Ralf and Clark... Not only the best bromance in the entire KOF saga, but really two iconic core characters with amazing story, movesets and personnalities. KOF just woudn't be the same without them. And although Leona is cool, to me the badass and cool looking Heidern will always be the best 3rd member. Every title he's not in, his absence is greatly felt. He completes the team perfectly. I wish one day we'll have a KOF with 2 military teams. One with the original trio Ralf/Clark/Heidern, and another with Leona, Whip and a brand new recruit! Also can we take a minute to appreciate Clark's amazing alternate outfti from the Maximum Impact games? They're not all good in these games, but Clark's wrestling look is just the best he's ever gotten. Suggestion : could you make a video dedicated to what's probably the most unfairly underrated team in the entire KOF history, aka the USA Sports Team? Love this team. I'd love to see what you make of it. Keep up the great work!

Man i had to laugh out loud when you said Ralf's galactic phantom was easy to dodge but still made you sweat when you heard it triggered. When i first started playing KOF, i can remember many times fumbling on the joystick trying to jump over it, or getting cute and trying combo him just to get caught slipping and one punched. I assumed John Cena could do the role of Terry well considering he has more of Terry's personality being a nice guy yet being serious when the time calls for it, but Cena definitely looks more like Clark.

@@KenMasters. True, I think if someone had to play Terry Bogard, I think Dolph Ziggler could play him. He could also do Ken Masters as well. He's handsome and has the blue eyes and blonde hair like them. But I think John Cena is good looking also and he could play Clark, I was saying Cena's personality reminded me more of Terry's because Clark is laid-back and quiet. In some games, the characters sizes vary though. In some games Terry will appear muscular but not too buff with a lean build like in his classic games from the 90s or the way he's depicted in the anime, but in other games he'll be ridiculously huge and bulked up like a tank, I hate that over-the-top "overdose on steroids" look *(I saw a KOF x WWE crossover mobile game where Terry is much more ridiculously huge and looms over the majority of WWE fighters with the exception of The Rock)* The same applies to Ryu and Ken from SF and even Ralf and Clark. In some games they're a good muscular size with handsome faces without being too big but in others they take it to extremes. I think the way Terry, Ryu and Ken look in Smash are among the best because they're based off their classic designs instead of their more modern bulkier designs.
