Yes! Been waiting for this video and already shared it lol. The New Faces team literally got my started with this franchise. Yashiro's powerful moveset drew me in. He was a always staple on my team, and i got somewhat decent with Chris. I could never get any good with Shermie though. I still buy their merchandise whenever i see it, since they will go down as my all-time favorite team who had the two best theme music I've heard in KOF. Seriously, it's crazy how awesome the arrange version of Bloody still sounds to this day. Thank you for this vid!

Another excellent video! :D Perosnally, my favorite one is Yashiro, not only because of his style and gameplay, but also because he seems to be the most devoted hakkesshu, and the one who has all potential to be a solo villain, if he wanted. He seems to be the most violent of 'em all, in both versions, and I truly think that his rivalry against Iori should be more explored. Like, after Goenitz, he seems to be the most devoted and powerful member of Orochi's clan, and the one who, in my opinion, maybe was the first to realize his mission as a hakkesshu. Depsite the fact that him, Shermie and Chris are the counterparts of Japan's Team, I honestly think that a "Heavenly Kings" Team, with Goenitz, Yashiro and Chris seems more like a proper rival team to the Sacred Treasures, one. Now, for Shermie, since she likes wrestling, I can see her fitting in a team like Mexico Team, with Ramon and Angel, for example.

Yet another great history vid~ I was certainly not expecting this to be as long as it did, but it is absolutely enjoyable. I understand this team is famous among the fanbase, though I personally didn't think too much of them... And I don't like Chris. X'D There's just something I don't like about him... But I easily liked Yashiro and Shermie; I also like that we can't see her eyes. Though the fact that Shermie has officially been confirmed to be created after Fujiko from Lupin the Third. I knew most of the info on the team, but the only thing I didn't know was Yashiro hating Iori and Chris apparently being the most mature. Lol It's also worth mentioning that SNK Heroines IS canon and takes place after KOF XIV's events. So this team being alive is canonical as well. This was confirmed by XIV's director (and Garou: MOTW's battle designer) Yasuyuki Oda. I do believe that the New Faces Team's revival is directly from Verse (again, confirmed by Oda). Their appearances in KOF XIII _could_ be phantoms taken physical form like Mature and Vice though. Also, the American Sports Team are just a gag during the Orochi Saga, haha. Iori's team took their invites during '95 and here we have the New Faces Team in '97. X'D I think Vanessa, Ramon, and Seth stole their invitations for the 2000 tournament. X'D (I don't remember who stole their invitations for '96... probably the Bosses Team. Lol) In any case, excellent video as usual~!

This and the Awakened orochi team are like my freebies I am looking for in every KOF Game, in the PS1 days, I made side by side comparison of New Faces team and awakened orochi team back in 97, my favorite was Orochi Yashiro compared side by side with Yashiro, looked angrier than it's human counterpart especially the stage as volcanos are erupting lively compared to Orochi Shermie and Chris Stage which they're kinda empty. In KOF 98 they're selectable via Start button with alternate palette I thought it was just another costume, however turns out it was their awakened version , game goes to 2002, Neowave, 98 UM and 2002 UM, in 2012 I have officially retired and putting KOF series in shelves for horror games, for 10 years after my retirement from KOF, the KOF XV introduced the team I was like..damn YES There could be freebies of their Awakened version but none..only human versions are available, later on SNK announced their Awakened versions last 2022 packed only in Season 2 with price. My father also plays KOF XV so he purchased the season 2 and tested Orochi Yashiro I was like long time no see. Let's beat the crap outta them, the only complain about the awakened team was Yashiro's Head grab were only for EX since I use the original combo of players from KOF 98 to 2002, otherwise that team I was looking for came back, oh well time to wrap up KOF to shelves.

I like to think in my head canon that Chris, Yashiro, and Shermie came back alive with the time paradox event. That they’re back alive. And that verses defeat brought their Orochi worshiping clones alive. With fusion, they would be pieces of Chris Orochi, the boss of King of Fighters 97.

But mainly I am excited for him because he kind of reminds me of myself not the quiet part but the speed and the way he teleports is amazing my only question is if he was a vessel for orochi does that mean he will not comeback since orochi was sealed

I really love the Orochi Saga of the King of Fighting game. This is for me the most well thought and developed arc among the others and the story is engaging. Lol to the American Team, their invites being taken by the better New faces team~ Another superb video! Thanks for this one, I finally saw the trio on their Heavenly Kings uniforms!
