I know I didn't show Hugo's poison taunt. Thanks to everyone who confirmed that it was indeed still in the game. The poison taunt is purely cosmetic, and does the same thing as his normal taunt with the same total duration. It's back or touchpad + taunt.

fun fact: necro's taunt hitbox will beat chun sa2 if you're holding the taunt and chun tries to super punish it. i'm sure it would never get a good player but i've gotten a few fightcade randos with this and it's pretty funny.

In the hands of an experienced player, Chun-li's SA2 is arguably one of the best super moves in any video game. In my hands it's a hilarious parade of finding out new and humiliating ways to ram my own face into my opponent's fists.

onreload The CPU dropped it for you. It happens after a few losses. If a human player uses it it also powers them up immensely. I don't remember it having a weakness though.

Which is why Max's Boss Rage with Gill doesn't count for me. When he beat Gill, he was at a lower difficulty and not hardest like he's supposed to do.

Some notes about gill taunt too If you're playing against boss gill, the laugh would mean the difficulty has been decreased, you'd usually see it after continuing

Ryu's taunts stack up to three times, not two. Interestingly, Makoto can't use her TOD on Ryu if he has three taunts.

A friend of mine tested right in front of me (I didn't tested myself because I can't do Tominaga's combo, lol), and it left Ryu at the verge of stun, but not quite there. One or two taunts are not enough, it has to be three. We didn't test on 3SOE, but on FightCade. Not exactly practical, since you have to be at zero stun for it to work. Gonna practice the combo just so I can test that, I guess. LOL. ... Gonna try it on FightCade again, 3SOE and, fuck it, 30AC.

dkblade27 Had to learn the TOD from scratch, but I finally did it. All versions: Ryu doesn't get stunned after using three taunts. But the combo has to start from a Karakusa. If Makoto starts with st. HP, he will get stunned. ... Maybe Karakusa causes a slighty scaling on stun?

Sf4 series was all about combos, super, ultras and focus attack. Sf5 series has a v guage system unique to each character but many people dont like it and say its a gimmick.

Rukir It's still there if you're using a controller and press the touchpad plus taunt since that's mapped to start by default, or just remap start to a different button if you're not using a controller

If you play "arcade mode," the taunt works. Just press and hold Start and taunt... Whamo... Poison appears.

Fun fact: There is exactly one realistic and practical scenario where Remy can get his taunt off and it allows him to stack all 4 of them. I think you're only ever going to see it on Urien, though maybe you can get it off on Oro. You have to hit the handcuff glitch where a projectile hits you during your neutral throw animation. This locks the opponent in place allowing you to taunt and build meter as time permits. A basic jump-in combo to super will grant you about 75% stun.

Hugos poison taunt does work hold the back/select button while you do it thats your start button in the ports

you don't need to taunt though. "360s" only need to be 270s to come out, meaning you can do 6248X and get the command grab without jumping

Hugo taunt single boosts next attack + raises defense (can be done four times). Held taunt buffs throw damage for one shot. Poison taunt covers up your movements. I may be mistaken but I believe Gill takes double damage when hit during his taunt?

Koing with any taunt is OP as far as tilt goes, but I think Elena or Necro's taunts take the cake. Dudley and Sean's taunts are too useful, and Ken and Yun are too good as characters, but KOing with Elena and Necro's (can you KO with Ibuki's?) is like a dick punch.

Some taunts are only good for a shot even when blocked. Others are more specific. The ones that boost your next attack damage are lost if you are hit and may not necessarily be used if you use a throw. Makoto for instance can command grab and retain her damage boost.

How do i do Sean's taunt where he jumps to get the basketball but intentionally misse's it last second to trow you off. Please read carefully, im aware of when you taunt and then taunt again real fast where no ball shows at all. Thats not what im asking. @Shoryuken The Taunts IMO are both a hinderance & a help. I did Q's Max taunt to get the MAX defense & it seemed like the CPU would boost up its strength. A 3 hit combo on 2040 HP Q would do a scratch of damage, but the AI Necro did a BS combo that took's Q life bar to normal. WTF?!

maximum taunt for Q is 5 taunts, but since you are wasting precious combo opportunities to taunt, in general, competitively speaking, 3 is said to be optimal. or if you are playing a super turtle who keeps a full screen distance. youcan go all in if you feel safe enough.
