It actually pisses me off when I think about how Chael isn't in his prime, fighting in today's UFC. His promos were up there with Connors. Chael might could have been as big as Connor is today. The UFC wasn't as big as it is now. I believe Chael had a huge part in making it bigger.. He for sure is the one to bring an entertainment side to ufc...He also was one of the first UFC fighters who had an interview on ESPN... While cutting a promo. "Who Da Fook Is Dat Guy?!?" Is just as good as, "I honestly thought that When I tapped, it would end the round, not the fight. I just didn't know the rules!" Or the come back about Tito's wife sucking dick. Atleast 3 times a year, I have to go back and watch all of his funny ass interviews and promos... Smh.. Actually, right now is a better time than any to get that first watch of the year.

oFISHal 1 If it makes you feel any better he’s standing to make a ton of money in the future as a commentator. He’s really blown up in the last year and it seems like he’s inching toward being ESPNs main fight analyst.

@@Nathan-ur2xv I think that he is definitely putting the leg work in to be considered for that position.I can't tell you how many times I've seen him put out content right after working s UFC event or even at 2am in most places. Chael is a conduit for the sport.

oFISHal 1 I think Chael gets his due for being the original bad guy, but I think you’re right as far as the bigger mainstream audience goes, Chael didn’t have the enormous platform then that Conor has now. Chael is great storyteller and a bright guy. I think Chael and Conor have a few things in common that makes them just right for that entertainment part of the game. They’re both smart. Both very quick witted. Both good looking guys (ironically what Chael says all the time) and both willing back up their shit talk. I think Conor probably is a bit more polarizing as he has an equal amount of haters but that only benefits the ufc and Conor. Colby is at the far end of the bad guy spectrum where he’s usually just a dick. Conor and Chael know how to do it with a little wink and smile and charm the audience and other fighters into liking them. Well, maybe not Conor at the Khabib lead up but generally he’s just being entertaining. I think Khabib’s team and mostly his dreadful manager/agent bring the worst out in most people but especially, Conor. I think the reason Khabib still envy’s Conor even after beating him is that he can’t understand why so many people still love Conor after the bus, calling his father a trader, calling his agent a spy and some sort of radical activist (might have actually had some validity on that one) because Khabib say Conor is irrelevant but then finds a way to bring him up every time he talks. Anyway, Chael is the man! Sorry for the rant
