What a beautiful coincidence. Tomorrow I am burying my grandfather who has requested this piece to be played at the service as a representation of his life during the German occupation of the Netherlands in WWII. Thank you for such a fantastic rendition of the piece and for such impeccable timing.

Красивая вторая часть концерта Д.Д.Шостаковича, раскрывающая самые сокровенные думы композитора. Спасибо за исполнение.

The performance was very emotional. I heard this music from your vol.3 collection before and I didn't think you recorded a video about it. It was very unexpected. thank you very much.

Truly one of my favourite pieces of classical music....it is so peaceful and almost transcendental. I have the music and can play the first part....and you have truly inspired me to keep working at it. :-)

It’s good but too rushed

Not according to the tempo written on original score and I’ve heard many professional recordings that are slower in tempo and also faster.

@@markfowlermusic personal preference- anyone who has to stick to a damn metronome to play isn’t playing with soul they’re mechanical robots
@markfowlermusic Жыл бұрын
@@thedevilsreject23 id suggest listen to other recordings if you think my performance is too rushed as you say. There are concert pianists who perform this faster than myself. I’m not saying one must play at the exact tempo stated either, that’s just an indication to the performer as stated by the actual composer of the piece, but then what would he know right. You’ve got nothing more to say to my original reply so you have tried to back hand me with a silly comment about tempo that I never referred to in the way you have stated.
