Thank you David. As I catch the smell of death often lately this song suits me well. Still battle the grim reaper to the bitter or sweet end, whatever it may be. Rage on as it does not end easily. GBU Brother. ~

Awesome cover David! I think you've captured the essence of Cash perfectly, not only your voice but the songs you're choosing to cover sound exactly like ones Cash would have covered himself on his latter albums. It has the same feeling and sound as "Ghost Riders in the Sky" and "Big Iron", definitely has that classic western story telling sentiment to them anyway. Fantastic mate 👌

It takes all kind of men to make this old world go around but it just takes one mythic gun to put you in the ground. I asked for a loan from the big boss man but he flap turned me down, so I took all along with my own shut gun and I put him in the ground wicked and wild, like a West Texas wind, born to be a lonely rebel child I danced with the devil myself a time or two no moonlight to shine my way home, just darkness through and through My race is almost run, my life is so close to the end, my life is almost spent, like ashes blowing in the wind No golden light to shine down on me, born to be a lonely rebel child, a lonely child Dirty dees flash in my mind, like pages outa time I hear a haunting melody of an old forgotten line I feel the chill of an icy wind, a shadow of a memory, then find myself all alone in a raging stormy sea Wicked and wild, as a West Texas Wind, why, Lord, was I born a rebel child The blood of Kane runs through my veins my own flushin' blood pursed my name, pursed my name.... That coward shot me in the back and put me in the ground, like Jesse James I was dead before I heard the sound they laid me underneath a big old shady Cypress Tree no one to say a prayer or sing a gospel song for me no golden light to shine down on me why, Lord, was I born a rebel child why was I born...

@@DavidRadcliffe333 Hi David, I think there are 2-3 mistakes/wrong words, however, I could not find any lyrics..... you are free to send the right words. I can't believe that you are not a superstar with that voice!
@ludicrousdisplay9769 Жыл бұрын
@@evelynanders1884 There are a few mistakes I think. Like it's "with a gun" instead of "mythic", "flat" instead of "flap", "dirty deeds" instead of "dirty dees", "my own flesh and blood cursed my name" instead of "flushin' blood pursed my name".

There is a Portuguese saying "A coward is always a coward!A thief is armless in a poor man's house and the only thing we gets is a hell of fright !" Jesse, Jim our Johnny had their time and they still have, because the secret of immortality is to be remembered with understanding and that improves the mortal one's feelings like me😊

Congratulations from this Spaniard new fan who lives in Belgium and who, in his new life as a retired bureaucrat, is trying to create a country and bluegrass music podcast in which of course I would love you participate... when I get it working...😀
