It is AMAZING to see all these factory chassis rifles!! Ruger started it, now you have Howa, Winchester, Tikka, Savage, and Mossberg. Can't believe Remington is still behind the ball on this one. The competition is amazing though!!
@joer31988 жыл бұрын
Blake Patterson Remington has had a chassis rifle for years now, it's just way over priced, they had it before Ruger did even.
Looks good esp for the price. The ones out currently don't look threaded yet.

Can't wait to see you review this. If I heard that correctly, under 1200 for basic black model. Love to see that and what the rifle can do in 6.5 creedmoor

Hollywood6394 - Minus the scope, I built mine for $900. I got the MDT chassis and the Howa 6.5 Creedmoor barreled action from Brownells: about $450 ea. Of course, the scope was no minor expense. But if you can be happy with something that sells for $300 ...!

maybe i missed it, but whats the aftermarket for barrels for this rifle and would a gunsmith have to make the swap?

@caseyjoanz7 жыл бұрын
Rob Feldt -Howa has been putting Nikko-Stirlings on their package 1500s. That looks like their logo. The high variable is - I think - 4-16x or 6-18x. The budget version is a 3-10x. I went with just the barreled action on my chassis build, but my .308 White Tail 1500 came with the 3-10x. I never even tried it, but then I saw some really good reviews on the upscale scope. I dunno ...maybe it’s an exceptional scope, but Nikko-Stirling ‘s reputation isn’t A list.

Keep in mind you are at shoot show.... you have your camera in the way of people. They payed good money to looking around just like you are. putting hands on him is the first no no. You want a interview with a someone get time up on the 3rd or 4th floor. I have a lot friends that if you put your hand on them they off. Next time thing of others and know they have the right to be there as well. love your show,
@8541tactical8 жыл бұрын
Bug Bear, keep in mind that SHOT Show is an Industry Trade Show, not a weekend gun show. You are not supposed to be there unless you are actually in the firearms business. People who are engaged in the business are MUCH more considerate and understand we all have work to do. I have been doing this for quite a few years now. I understand how to conduct my interviews and doing it in a poorly lit meeting room without the displays the companies have spent thousands of dollars on is not the way to do it. What I am going to have to do it get a shorter lens or hire grips to block traffic.
@8541tactical8 жыл бұрын
It's called "courtesy". Some have it, some don't. It's the same kind of thing that stops an uninvolved person from standing in front of a speaker when they are having a conversation with another person. The interfering individual does not have any "right" to the space. The company that entered into a contract with the NSSF has a "right" to the space and at that time they were utilizing their space in order to advertise their product with a media producer. Additionally, a Media badge gives me the authority to setup cameras and film on the SHOT Show floor. That is why I have to get a separate badge from exhibitors or buyers. Before you start talking about "rights" you may want to read the fine print on the agreements you enter into in order to walk around in a PRIVATE venue.
