My only experience with high-end actions is a Defiance Machine action I have for .300PRC. But recently I've been thinking about building a super magnum, maybe in .416 Barrett or .408 Chey-Tac, and I've read that BAT has some good options there. Do you know how BAT compares to Defiance, by chance? I don't know too many people in the long range rifle community and nobody I know has a BAT action I can try out. Thanks for the content! Always nice to see options.

Why is this odd tenon thread pitch (1.062x18 tpi), incompatible with anything of industry standards? Ultimatum did it smarter by allowing Savage barrel threads.
