This was a great video!!! In my opinion, shotcrete is one of the most technical types of pumping we can do. It definitely does get easier with time and experience, but still always remains a challenge. There’s a million little tips/tricks which go a long ways towards making these shotcrete pours less stressful. Whenever I pump shotcrete I will first dust the inside of the hopper with bentonite powder and then mist it with water to create a barrier of mud between the shotcrete and the walls of the hopper. I little bit of sand/dirt under the S-tube is a big help as well. Caleb over at Concrete Pumping Service documented this process in good detail during one of his recent videos. Come days end, washout is so much easier. Looking forward to more of these trailer pumping videos. Great job brother 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Couldn’t agree more. You have to be on your toes for shotcrete. One truck could be the best mud you’ve ever seen and the next truck wasn’t mixed correctly and you have to try and finesse that mud the whole truck so the customer doesn’t lose it. While also thinking about your own machine and line on the ground. It’s definitely a learning curve. Shotcrete is by far my least favorite but has to be the most rewarding. Nothing feels better than completing a shotcrete job when nothing is going right that day.

@@ConcretePumpingService the billed revenue hours for most shotcrete pools are pretty nice as well. For us it’s usually at least 6-7 hours of billable.

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 Easily 6-7 hours. A small 25 yard pool is still gonna take about 5 hours. And if you’re the only shotcrete pump around, rake it in!

We're still definitely in the learning phase of it. I enjoy it though, amazing what those little pumps can push.

@@fronabargerconveyingpumping we found our TK50 was good for pushing about 250-ish feet with a dry slump and all 2” rubber line. Substituting some steel slick line into the mix really helps to reduce pressures. They structural guys around here whom pump 100+ yards per day use a good bit of 2” hardline off the hopper before eventually transitioning into rubber.

u need the screw in nozzle for the hose no clamp makes it a lot easier spray with
