Yutaka Nakamura is the first ida shoto scene (he made ida vs mudman and shoto deku climax) the jet scene is Mehdi Aouichaoui i dont know him a lot but they are bot exeptionnal animators (espetialy nakamura wich is one of the best in his craft tbh)

11:13 Rei Todoroki is DONE running away. 9:56 full transparency, there was a WHOLE scene from a prison where Geten from S5 and 6 was being held. And it turns out that Geten is actually Related to Rei’s Family (Hence why he has white hair and an Ice quirk) and the reason why he has one despite being a VERY distanced relative is because ice quirks tend to manifest WAY later in a person who’s a distant relative in Rei’s Bloodline. Thus Explaining why Toya’s Ice quirk is only manifesting NOW. I have no Freaking idea why they cut this scene out, considering it had ALOT of vital information!!! Which means that Toya was the Perfect Son ALL ALONG!!!

No Toya was NOT the perfect son because he still can’t handle the fire. His body can only handle ice. He can now produce ice along with the fire he had. The fire would’ve still burned him up. Shoto is the only perfect son because his body can withstand both elements.

Mmm i remember it differently. What you are saying about that bloodline was the thing about being a close important clan at first (similar to hyuga or uchiha from Naruto, that had only intern marriage between members of the same clan) but later the clan lost economic status and that's how Endeavor was able to make a deal. The point about the distant relatives that Geten was talking about i don't remember being referencing to Dabi. Dabi is as close relative as Shoto, Natsuo or Fuyumi. In fact was more likely for them to get the ice quirk in first place, if what you are saying is correct then all of them won the lottery except Dabi. On top of that, the manga explains the same thing than the Bakugo awakening flashback here, was a power that was only going to appear(ice quirk) in a life or death scenario(that doesn't explain why it didn't happen the previous time Toya was about to die but whatever) which means that Toya being a normal person would not unlock the ice quirk unless he was almost death, and that would only happen if Endeavor united the family, explained to Toya his mistakes, teach him to control his fire being able to be a hero without burning himself, and by uniting the family Shoto and Toya would learn to work together, a duo that would eventually be heroes, Shoto would help Toya with his temperature problem, but in a hypothetical harsh fight he would get to that kind of life or death scenario. Otherwise if he decided to follow a normal life like Natsuo or Fuyumi half cold would never appear for him, so no he was not the perfect son.

Shoto’s really living up to his “hero of the family” status huh. 😅 For as monstrous as Touya has become, I feel like it’s only fair for the family to be the ones to ultimately save him from getting himself killed completely. And it was just in the nick of time too, since Endeavor had already given up on him yet again. There’s a lot of complicated feelings happening here, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the whole family to end up on the battlefield, but hey, it’s finally time for Touya to get the attention he’s deserved all this time.

idk what you mean by endeavor giving up on him, i'm pretty sure he in fact did not give up, but simply did what he knew to be the only way to keep less casualties, by sending him up into the sky to lessen the damage with him. he even apologizes to toya as he's doing so. and has no idea shoto's coming to help from like a quarter of the way across the country.

@@aero1349 Issue here is that we’re equating something working to what I’m talking about here. First off, the main thing that was keeping Touya’s quirk going was the conscious use of it, so maybe try knocking him out? Considering that he was already flying him up with fire I don’t see how slight impacts would make the nuke go off. Also considering he only said a couple things to Touya that don’t really have to do with the situation, I don’t see any issue with just… trying other things to say as they’re flying? He seemed pretty aware of what was going on with Touya’s mental state and Touya was still pretty aware considering he recognized mom’s voice almost immediately. I’m not saying whether or not this would’ve worked. I’m saying that the fact that Endeavor hardly tried to reach out to him before resorting to something so drastic is just really bad judgment on his part.

@@natsuotodoroki toya's mental state was consisting of burning everyone within 5 km alive, and getting endeavor to look at him. when endeavour does and says, he'll look at him, he doesn't really stop. dabi wasn't listening to him at all. also, when you say he notices rei's voice, he didn't really stop trying to explode. at that point in time, the thing that really saved them was everyone's ice quirks and his weakened state miraculously converging at that point in time. nothing endeavor could've done alone would've stopped toya's explosion. it wouldn't make sense for him to look for rei and shoto since (they're supposed to be in evacuation and 1/4 of the country away respectively) endeavor did the best he could at that point in time. when rei and the family do go there, they all think they're going to die there trying to cool toya down or stop him. ie: endeavor tries to stop rei from approaching, and rei tries to stop natsuo and fuyumi from approaching. none of them even knew shoto was approaching. in the end, without everyone of the family being there, shoto wasn't even sure he'd stop the explosion alone with aegir. everyone was doing their best, and it paid off.

You aren't biased bro. Todoroki family drama is the best storyline in MHA. There is alot of complexity and depth that you don't usually see in battle oriented shonen series. There is one aspect I wasn't a fan of in this conclusion though. Hori knows how stubborn he wrote the Dabi character, he kinda had to take away his agency with him overheating. Because there was no way his family could talk him down.

This was definitely in my Top-5 favorite episodes of the entire series. Every emotion I can think of was encapsulated in this episode, i.e., remorse, relief, guilt, anger, sadness, anxiousness, excitement and more. Although I love the main storyline of MHA, the Todoroki Family storyline always intrigue me because it depicts the unspoken family complexities that many families experience in real life. Shoto is definitely my favorite character. Overall, this episode was a 10 out of 10.

This one hands down became one of my Top 4 favorite scene in the whole series. Todoroki family drama is enough to make a grown man cry, like really. Their dynamic as a family and as a individual is what make them good, plus their pasts issues that led to what they've become today. There's more Todoroki Family drama at the end of the final war that I'm sure will make you cry again, mah man, wait for it. But for now, you need to see what All Might packed, his ingredients are ready and is waiting for HIM to get cooked!

Dabi was literally about to blow up until rei came by and cooled him off a bit, then fuyumi and natsu came to help, then once again he was about to blow when shoto came by to finally freeze him. Dabi would have literally decimate an entire area and kill quite a bit of people if it was only endeavor with him. That’s how important it was for everyone to help with this war

So to clarify for some people, a Quirk Awakening is when the person gains an understanding of their quirk to "Evolve" it to its next stage, usually gaining properies that coincide with said quirk like Bakugo's Cluster/Kaminari Lightning/Shoto Phosphur. What Dabi underwent through was a Manifestation as the quirk factors for Rei quirk which were dormant at the time were activated due to near death situation.
