Shots fired at Monarc at Met (4K)

Just found this video via Google after searching news throughout the night. I work in Whole Foods, and we were evacuated as well. We were standing across the street looking up at the black smoke coming out of the penthouse that was on fire, which I took a video of. We were eventually allowed back in around 8:30pm, but the fire was still burning. This is the first I’ve heard regarding shots fired. Did you ever hear anything regarding the fire? I can’t find any news coverage on either.

Whoa! No. We did not hear anything about that. I saw no evidence of a fire. I only saw 3 firemen go into the building with no equipment. They were headed to the fire control room on the ground level. We walked out of sight of the building for maybe 5 minutes at one point. By the time we returned it was all police going in and no firemen that I could see. Can you share your video and link it here?

Thank you so much for sharing your video. Here's my thought. I'm fairly certain that there is no smoke in it. I believe that's just patchy clouds rolling by. However. The flickering light from that top-floor unit does look disturbingly like firelight. But I don't see any evidence of flames or smoke coming from the unit. I don't know what I'm seeing in your video. I suspect that that unit's layout is the same as the others on lower floors. In which case the light is coming from both the living room and the master bedroom. I can't say much more from the video. It's of good quality. And I appreciate you sharing. I will say that management indicated in an email the next day that someone falsely pulled a fire alarm. They did not mention any actual fire.

Sorry. I wish I did have more news. Management referred to an "alleged incident involving an active domestic investigation" in an email the day after. No further details given. And I have not found much in online searches either.
