Should a newly diagnosed person with Parkinson's start levodopa?

Levodopa is chemically addictive. The longer you are on it, the more you have to take to maintain its effectiveness. The more you have to take, the greater the side effects. So, if can hold off on taking it, you are better off.

My husband just started taking it after being diagnosed about a year and a half ago. His tremors and weakness and stiffness on his right arm were really affecting his ability to write at work. I hate that he has to take it, but I know he’s miserable.

@@lynnpoag8173 My advise is not to do anything for an employer's sake. They legally have to accommodate him with his tremors, weakness and stiffness.
