This is great as this is an issue for a lot of people However Is there a need for extra precaution when taking extra high level doses of fish oil with the need to take prescribed aspirin for reducing the chances of heart attacks Because both of them can create low blood pressure and consequent possibility of Falls and other dizziness issues Thanks for all the work you're doing helping people with Parkinson's

Can Parkinson's patients with "Full body Dystonia/Pisa Syndrome" use CDP Citicoline? I have noticed that my mom's Carbidopa/Levodopa (C/L) makes her dystonia worse. She was on pramipexole and Rytary, and it caused severe dystonia. We stopped the pramipexole, and the dystonia in her hands and feet got better, but it didn't go away. If I give her anything with Choline, it seems to get worse. I've been thinking that her imbalance is with serotonin, but maybe we need to grow new acetylcholine receptors. We added SAM-e, Forskolin and Artichoke Extract (PDE4 inhibitor), and it has improved her movements to walk without her walker, but she still has a lot of off time. Her neurologist doesn't offer any advice like this and didn't even say that the pramipexole was part of the problem. How can we find someone who is knowledgeable like you? Thank you for posting this video.

One of the downstream products of citicoline metabolism is uridine. Some studies show that uridine administered with DHA increases synaptogenesis. I wonder if uridine would be better tolerated by your mom than more directly cholinergic supplements?

My dsykenisa is really bad..I am trying to determine that it most likely happens when I am hungry and then gets bad as the meal is about to hit the plate..hmmm it is too noticleable. I will track it and see what happens. I am going into my 7th year with PD, currently taking 25-28 sinimet per day.

You are taking way too high Levodopa 25 to 28 pill. I was diagnosed with PD 10 years ago, I take 12 to 14 currently and have significant dyskinisia, but each case is different.

My wife was diagnosed 15 years ago. She is on 1 25/100 C/L per hr for waking hours. Usually drops off 45 minutes into the dose. We've tried 3/4 pill at the HR plus 1/4 pill at half hr with good even results...usually. Heavy meals cause dose failure. Pleasant situations/shopping/good mood contribute to keeping her movement up.

Great info Laurie. Do you have people stay on the high dose of the fish oil? Lower dose? Or drop it?

Hello Dr. Mischley. I don’t have Parkinson’s disease, but I do have psychosis-and I take 3,000 mg/d DHA and 1,000 mg/d EPA, as advised by my naturopath; the product he prescribed to me is called “Neuro 1000” from Metagenics. Is that an optimal dose?

Have you seen this approach work with someone with biphasic dyskinesia?
