What I don't like is when people always attach homosexual celibacy with Christianity (or Islam or Judaism). Being celibate has practical benefits even if you are not religious. I went out into the Gay scene when I was about 18. I was lucky. The first guy that I experimented with was a sleazeball, every-so-often drag queen. We decided to become partners, and on the second weekend he went and hooked up with someone else, and I found out late. I never did anything too serious with him that I could get a disease from - despite his requests. It set me up to be very critical. From that date forward every gay male was thoroughly critiqued. I had very high standards and I always found something wrong with every guy. I have always remained celibate and now that I am older I am glad. I had two permissive friends in my early 20s and both of them ended up dead in their 30s. One of them attempted suicide about 4 months after I first met him. I have always regarded my homosexual appetite as a quirk. Even if other people want to make it the sole fact of my existence. If I had a niece or nephew who had homosexual leanings I would recommend that they remain celibate and be strong. Not for religious reasons, but to protect their mental and physical health, and also to make rational decisions. Never be swayed by a pretty face. Religions are just ideologies. If there is God then apparently he does all that he can to make distance between himself and them. Heterosexual coupling is not holy, it is no different to any animal's instinct to reproduce.

Thank you for sharing your story. Do you ever plan on trying to find a partner or do you want to just remain single forever? I do think it’s possible for gay men to have loving, committed relationships with one another…there is a middle ground between permanent celibacy and hedonism…

If you are a Christian traditional but you happen to be gay you cannot engage in any sexual relationships at all now I would highly just recommend going after non-sexual relationships you can find meaningful platonic relationships and Familiar relationships without sex.You See being Christian means that there are things that You cannot do because the Bible the word of God is against that because we are not of this world we're not Normal people Normal people can have the world our way of life. Involves sacrifice there are things we cannot have there are things we cannot do the world hates jesus and God they're gonna hate us because we follow them and we love them. The truth is not easy for many of us but it is only truth.

Same-sex marriage should be the answer. Premarital sex is prohibited in the Bible, after all. And there is no verse that forbids same-sex marriage.

If you say homosexuality is a sin because of self pleasure, then you must first pull the plank out of your own eye before trying to pull the splinter out of ours. Hetero marriages who do not want children yet still have sex and elderly hetero marriages where the couple cannot conceive anymore. The Bible could also arguably be against this as self pleasure too. The story of Elizabeth. The law in the Old Testament where a husband cannot have sex with his wife during her menstrual period. The scripture in Isaiah which say “young woman shall dance. And young men, and old as well, shall dance.” So, these two things (based upon these three examples that we can take from the Bible) can also be just as argued as self pleasure as what you argue for homosexuality. “Treat others the way you want to be treated. For this fulfills the law and the prophets.” - Matthew 7:12
