Commenting before I have listened to the entire clip... Vietnam has cheaper products and Services because Mayalasia is a 2nd world economy rather than Vietnam being a developing 3rd world economy. Loved Vietnam... Great People and even more beautiful smiles.
@ThisIsDrewFerguson5 ай бұрын
That is totally the truth... The Vietnamese smiles are out of this world and the people are phenomenal! The weirdest part is we paid more for accommodation. Guess we just had better luck finding places in Malaysia. When did you go to Vietnam?
@vdang24025 ай бұрын
huh? Malaysia is 2nd world economy and Vietnam is 3rd world economy? Where do you get that from? Vietnam's GDP already surpassed Malaysia in 2023. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ASEAN_countries_by_GDP

@@vdang2402 you missed the "per Capita" section. Thanks for confirming for me I was right. Don't look at the entire GDP of the country, but look at how the cake is shared between its population. Malaysia $39k Vietnam $12k
@vdang24025 ай бұрын
@@peterlattimore6013 So by your definition, China is also a 3rd world economy? Its GDP per capita is $13k USD, way behind Malaysia and similar to Vietnam. Do you know how to rank a country's economical power vs. its individual happiness globally?

@@shinwaramin8582gotcha! Yeah, it is skinny, but the bus half way to da nang is still 12 hours. Then if you from ho chi Minh to hanoi, it's like 24 hours. Malaysia seems quite a lot more doable. I almost wouldn't leave ho chi Minh because it took so long, but we ended up taking the sleeper train... An adventure for sure...
