South Australia has too many district cricket teams. When the national comp is 7 teams and one of the smallest states next tier down is 13 teams. Many players have been dominating district cricket, averaging 100+ runs, and struggle hard in the national comp. Every time Jake Lehmann is struggling in the Shield, he goes down one tier and makes a bunch of double centuries. Bosisto, Carder, KSmith - all dominated in SA District Cricket.
