In 2015, in the campaign trail for Taiwanese presidency, the initial candidate for then-ruling KMT got ousted by party big wigs when they thought she was being too controversial in an already uphill climb of a campaign trail. The move instantly crashed the supporter’s faith on the party and simply don’t come out to vote, causing KMT to lose the 2016 election by an even larger margin than predicted if they hadn’t change the candidate. I can only hope the panicking Dems can see the greater picture and don’t let our history be repeated across the Pacific
