I'm a big 12 fan. A lot of people are complaining about the CFP committee and want to go to a computer ranking. The BCS ranking for this year for the most part agree with the committee so we would be in the same spot. The B12 champion needs to prove the conference in the playoffs imo

I don't think people understand this part. The BCS used quality of recruiting class as part of its rating. How would that help BYU, Iowa State, Arizona State, or SMU?

Smash capital has been linking up with Big 12 and ACC to strategize on what can be done for an overall league.

Just go with the 4/4/2/2/1/1 model. This guarantees every conference gets their conference title participants in the playoffs with a wild card spot for everyone. It forces ND to fight for one spot equally with everyone else. Pettiti is silent because he knows this is the best way forward because it takes the power from the committee and gives it to the conferences.

Should we do the same for the NCAAT? If we're going to do something like make the imbalance of rep permanent, then make the revenue distribution ~even per conference.

@@tarheel7406 There's something called the Look-In Clause for the CFP contract. The Big 12 asked for it, but it's not the P2's fault if teams lose to Kansas and Georgia Tech and can't trigger it. The NCAA already has an imbalance as the Horizon League is only allowed to get their conference champion into the tournament while the ACC can get multiple teams into March Madness. The autobid and revenue imbalance reflects the actual value differences between the conferences. The ACC is not as valuable as the B1G and SEC just like the Horizon League and Patriot League are not as valuable as the ACC and Big 12 in basketball. You've argued for more than a year that the ACC was equal to the P2. I see you have finally accepted it is not.

@@heartbreak25 Pitiful as usual. This is apparently about assumptions based on relevant prior success not value. I didn't admit anything. As usual, you can't read for comprehension. in football, your logic would yield SEC - 4 autos B1G - 3 ACC - 3 B12 - 1 G5 - 1 How should this logic apply to men's hoops? Final Four Appearances, 1st Rd Wins, Nattys (per Wiki 2015-2024. 2020 N/A) ACC: 9-5-3 B12: 5-3-2 (Excludes OK; includes Houston) BIGEAST: 6-4-4 SEC: 5-0-0 (Includes OK) B1G: 7-3-0 (Includes Oregon & UCLA) ACC - Appeared in 7 of 9 Final Fours (6 different teams) BE - Appeared in 5 of 9 Final Fours (2 different teams) B12 - Appeared in 4 of 9 Final Fours (4 different teams)

Yea 8conference + 4 cupcakes and have as many 1Loss teams as possible make the playoff. Also, Sec refs 'take care' of ranked teams like in the uga-gt game.

IMO B12 should divide into 4 -4 regional pods ONLY if CFP goes to 16 teams and B12 has TWO guaranteed slots. B12 playoff would be 8 team playoff. Teams would play 7 regular season conference games. 3 against the other teams in the pod. Then the pod would play 4 teams from another pod. After 7 conference games the leaders in each pod plus 4 at large wild cards. Game 8 would be the quarter finals games. Game 9 would be the semi finals. Then conference championship game. Teams not making the conference playoff would play each other focusing on regional games or getting teams to be bowl eligible.

The big 12 Acc should hold its own playoff have a winner and claim the national champion of its own sec big 10 has a champion and acc big 12 has its champion and refuse to play the SEC big 10 champion after awhile they (the SEC big 10 )will come around if not the acc and big 12 will always be ripped off break away now

Is it possible that ESPN is trying to make sure TNT doesn't get any SEC playoff games but is pushing the Big 12 playoff games on to TNT?

This could and more than likely would backfire on the B 12, what if 3 and 4 win ?

Guys I'm not trying to be shitty here but it's never going to be fair for ACC or BIG12 because it's all about money and the biggest brands in the sport bring the most money and viewership

It will never work right until Congress gets involved and then it will work really bad but I would prefer it to work really bad then have it work the ESPN Disney way. Just imagine if fubo wouldn't have blocked ESPN's own channel that ESPN has way too much power. They should have no say over anything in college football just broadcast the games. But we need to put a limit on that also. Would love to see apple Netflix and Amazon and other companies get more involved.

Meh. 3 of the 4 teams would then get another loss. Just do what the sec does and change it to 8 conference games and schedule a 4th patsy like the sec since sos doesn't matter. Only wins.

@@CouzsCornerSportsIt doesn't work because it decreases the value of your TV contract. That's why the B1G has 9 conference games despite it being a disadvantage.
