Should Brad Holmes Stay the Course or 'F Them Picks'?

It's stay the course. They were not 1 player away from winning the game the other night...they were 20 healthy players down. The way Holmes drafts and the way Campbell and his crew develops, I just think we need more healthy players. As good as Jamo and others have been, it would be nice if we drafted more players with less of an injured background. Bolster that defensive line and bolster that offensive line through the draft. Maybe one free agent or two on defense, and I think we're ready to go again.

Jon is spot on. We need to focus on the talent and depth of our offensive and defensive line. I do think we drafted a few solid players late in the 24 draft with Mohgany and Wingo. I don't think we can count on Onwuzurike or Paschal to be anything other solid depth players.

Exactly! It's not even really worth talking about, because Holmes is NEVER going to do that.

There’s no guarantee the Lions will be good year in and year out. The NFL stands for NOT FOR LONG. They couldn’t get it done with the #1 seed. It may be time to say F them picks, win now, and worry about the details later.

Naw bruh majority of good teams with good chemistry has at least 5 good years New England patriots when they were good Pittsburgh Baltimore chiefs eagles basically the last 4/5 teams have been good 4-5 years straight now stop riding us and focus on wherever you from we great at every offensive position we will be ok

The Lion’s ‘25 Season could be a rough schedule. Expanded team size, w 17 games, is a must. Have All Bye games in Weeks 7/8 or 8/9. To make it fair.

Picks have an escalating value because they allow you to have cheap rookie contracts. First round picks have the fifth year option, so they are highly prized. I know, Captain Obvious. I'd love Crosby as well, but he will cost at least two first round picks. Those could be elite replacements for Ragnow, Glasgow or Decker if Manu doesn't pan out. That, or use one on the defensive line. Intend to lean towards Jon here. Decker, Glasgow, Ragnow and Zeitler are either old or getting old quickly. Mahogany will fill a guard spot, but now you have three others to fill.

Last year's draft did not pay off immediate dividends like years prior. Absolutely. However, if those players are producing in the next year or two, you may feel differently. How many of them got injured? 2 or 3 of them?
