Take the OMA Apologetics Crash Course

Do you ever doubt your ability to answer bigger than life questions like, “Why do I exist? What is the purpose of life? Can I know God? If so, how? Are miracles possible?” And if God exists what’s with all the evil in the world? Do questions like these ever nag at you? If so, you’ve come to the right channel. I too am a fellow wonderer who thinks about stuff like this.
I (Bobby Conway) am the founder and host of the rapidly-growing ministry, The One Minute Apologist, which is found on KZbin and at oneminuteapologist.com. Here I provide quick, credible answers to apologetic questions that resource people with a hunger to defend their Christian faith. These videos will often include interviews. I’ve had the privilege of interviewing some of the world's leading Christian apologists. Among them are: William Lane Craig, Josh McDowell, Hank Hanegraaff, JP Moreland, Norman Geisler, Frank Turek, and many more.

A higher power can be any demon. Unfortunately AA people are coerce to believe that they are believing in God. That’s not true… God is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the way, truth and life Blessings

I am a former addict a new creation IN Christ and 22yrs clean to the glory of God. I promote Christian based Recovery for Christians or those seeking to truly be free. What is Christian based Recovery? Basic discipleship a relationship with Jesus Christ. Learning your identity IN Christ. Its not a formula work these steps etc Christ brings Life transformation. We are not a treatment center we are a transformation center. AA/NA goes off the disease model of addiction that is wrong that your identity is in your sin/addictions. In the disease model you will always be an addict as they say once an addict always an addict. Its who you are. You can really never be free of it. The only hope for you is to do the steps, meetings every day, etc basicly learning how to maintain it through these works just like being in bondage to the works of the law because the disease model does not offer any hope for the addict and does not encourage you to make life changes. If its a disease then what is the motivation to change? Sending Christians to AA/NA will just be sending them back into religion and in bondage.

They just voted the Lord's Prayer out of AA meetings in DC. They teach you to believe whatever you want. It's been a nightmare as a new Christian getter sober here.

Fantastic content about grace and the church. I really needed that! How to extend grace in the church is something I hope to be Christ-like in, realizing my own issues

The thing is… Christians need to borrow from others in order to get sober or healed…? So, Jesus said something like…. “Go to any other god or spirit first and then come tome, I’ll do the rest…? If any “god; super power, or higher power” gets you sober and Jesus couldn’t, why do you need Jesus for…? Once you believe that your “higher power” gets you better, you don’t even turn to look to your soul salvation. Read completely de 12 steps of AA, if you don’t find them demonically written, you are far away from Jesus. The real sad thing is the churches don’t put the real attention to this community huge real need. That’s why people are going to hell sober with AA. The one who has understanding, understand…

Who ever told you that a person can’t believe in Jesus and attend AA that is absolutely false I have 43 yrs. sobriety and fellow the Catholic faith . AA is a spiritual program not a religious program.

Celebrate Recovery ain't it either. A plain and simple, true knowledge and understanding of Christ is all that is necessary. If you build relationships with us others without the Holy Spirit, you're still setting yourself up for drama.

As a Christian who received victory over alcohol (praise Jesus!), experience tells me that people can indeed follow Christ and participate in AA. I find that most Christians who are against AA express their opinions in terms theory rather than practical experience and they get a lot of things wrong (oftentimes, due to missing nuance). I will say, though, that many of their criticisms are absolutely valid. On the other hand, while not every Christian with an alcohol addiction needs AA, I think it's dangerous to tell every Christian to avoid it. There is room for Christians in AA, we just have to be very careful about how we engage with the AA program (and what parts of it we believe)
