That would come under what it says about appropriate kit in his contract, the same as my contract tells me what is uniform and what is not. My contract does allow for _conventional_ religious symbols for believers, like a discreet crucifix worn under a shirt or blouse, or a head covering for people of other faiths. It does not allow for the wearing of an armband showing a religious message as that wouldn't just be a show of personal faith. It would be proselytising in the workplace which is unacceptable.
