Real question: Why does it offend you? They are struggling as a company because the Boomer generation is aging out of motorcycles. Harley built itself off the Boomer generation. So they continue to look to attrack different groups to buy their overpriced scoots. Harley enthusiasts get butt hurt every time they cater to any other demographic than the "Brothers". When they started selling Buell they were selling out to the sport bike community. When the Dyna went softtail they were ignoring the outlaw crowd that built their "brand". Fun fact Harley wasn't always "Bad Ass" not on a large scale until the Dyna became popular with the 1% clubs. Harley actually fought that image for a long time. When they redesigned the sportster they were selling out again. I have ridden and built harleys for a long time. Even went to MMI for Harley after I got out of the Army but I have never tied my identity to a corporation. Haley will adapt to whatever they feel is popular like every other company. Younger generations are super liberal and go hard on supporting that community so its no surprise to me. Would I still buy a Harley absolutely because of what it means to me.

Your take is the best I've ever had on my channel and I respect it 100% you have a great knowledge of Harley history and I love it. So I would like to respond to your comment it does not offend me at all because I have individuals in my family who are in the community. As I was saying in the video my take is from a business standpoint and I used the Bud Light experiment as a template Harley supporters have deep ties to the company even though they are aging out they are the most loyal to the brand and will always be there I understand Harley has to always think of their options and continue to survive as a company I think there needs to be a balance between advertising and respecting your most loyal supporters there is always a common ground if you are of a different sexual preference and you love motorcycles then you will buy and ride motorcycles and live that life no matter what. I really respect your take it is well thought out and you have my respect I'm going to pin this to the top because I think that this is what conversation is all about week can come together and talk about issues absolutely a great take brother

I don’t see the big deal. I’m a straight white guy and I don’t give a damn if Harley is trying to appeal to a new customer base or educate their employees about the importance of diversity. Why are these bad things? Why would this upset someone? If you need a Harley to make you feel straight and masculine, then perhaps you’re not so secure and masculine to begin with. Be kind to everyone and judge folks by their character, not their sexual preference or color. Dr King Jr. said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character”. Why can’t this apply to sexual preference too?

The thing about branding or advertising specifically to a sexual preference in my eyes is ridiculous. My sexual preference doesnt have impact on the products I'm looking to buy. It does help as a marketing tactic but its not going to be the determining factor. I was already looking to buy whatever the product was, so in this case of Harley. If I'm looking to get my first bike, I'm looking for the best bang for my buck, as well as what appeals to my eye, reliability, and in some cases, name brand. No part of sexual preference is taken into account when spending this kind of money.

The problem I have with it is that Harley-Davidson does not care about That Community they only care about the dollars. We have been loyal to them for many years and kept them going, you and I have both supported them. Being that way is a choice it is not hereditary, it is not your race it is a choice you make. I'm sure there are many people who ride that are gay but at the end of the day who really cares why would you need to appeal to them if they like motorcycles and they like Harley-Davidsons then they would buy them anyway

I feel like these comments on this particular video transported me to Reddit lib land, lol. Harley is 99.999% supported by traditional men who believe in America first, traditional values, and don't put up with alphabet delusions or want bikes make in Thailand. I've bought dozen of bikes over 45 years...10 HDs... but I've debadged my 2007 Road King Custom and boxed up and took down all my HD stuff. Tomorrow I will rode an hour and a half to check out some other makes at a dealership that's not HD...that's been decades since I did that. HD can do what they want... jut even if I decide to keep my "no name" bike I will use Amsoil, do all the work myself, and use an independent shop if if I need it an hour away. Good luck catering to the oddball, leftist kids who wouldn't buy the 20-40k bikes anyway... see ya HD...

When I got my first Harley, (1982), yuppies, dr's, rv'ers and normal people didn't ride scooters... When the Evo came out, that's when Harley went mainstem.... That was no different than them catering to a different clientele now....

This will be a big mess for Harley. There are maybe 20% of us who ride Harleys because we actually love riding the bikes, while the other 80% just own them for the prestige of the name brand and the bragging rights of owning a Harley Davidson. Well thats all going to change. I predict Harley will move to Europe and as they start losing American money they will start closing dealerships around the country because owning a Harley won't make you "cool" anymore.

​@@Bigvernsmotolife proof is the Sportster(XLCH) at one time it was the choice of Biker Clubs, then out comes the FXR and Harley needs to move them and get the bikers off of the sportsters. How did they do that so fast? someone comes up with the idea to start a thing that sportsters are for women, and so it began... and just like Dynas are thought of as "gangster" bikes, Baggers as "geezer glides" and won't even talk about V-Rods lol....imagine the things that will be said about Harley riders now
