By the time you spec out the Mini M4 Pro at all (unbinned chip, sufficient RAM), you're very close to the base Mac Studio Max (2699 CAD vs 2299 CAD) with twice the GPU and media encode engines, faster memory and storage, card slot, 10G ethernet standard, better cooling, etc. They'll be updated to M4 series in a few months and I think make a much better video editing machine than the Mini M4 Pro. The M4 pro has the same media engines as the base M4 Mini and the GPU is still a bit weak overall, roughly similar to a mobile 3080 if I'm not mistaken.
@Thirsty_Fox4 күн бұрын
Forgot to mention -- if you're speccing a Mini Pro up to CAD 4500 just get the CAD 5499 Mac Studio Ultra and get 6 media engines (two decode, four encode) and 60+ GPU cores to deal with all the heavy edits. 800 Gb/s memory speed. No upgrades on it needed, just some external storage at some point cause 1TB fills up. The Mini Pro with upgrades is just too expensive for what it is.
@orci774 күн бұрын

While your raw performance estimates are true, real world performance, especially in resolve and other optimised software, the m series do insane things, my pc with an rtx 4090 and ryzen 9 7950x3d and 128gb ram can only handle a few layers of 8k pro res, the Mac Studio with M2 Ultra can handle 22 And my personal m3 max MacBook Pro (yeah not even m4) can handle 12 on batter
@jayzn19314 күн бұрын
@@himynameisryan It can probably simply do that because there is hardware acceleration (media engines) for all kinds of footage, while Nvidia and AMD don't have that for some codecs like anything in 4:2:2. Your 4090 is worthless if you have 4:2:2 footage.

I just bought all of the current M4 variants on the market (M4, M4 Pro, M4 Max.) I switched over to all Mac computers from PC about a month ago when the new Mac Mini's were released. I absolutely love the M4 platform, and it's blowing all of my old PC's out of the water. For all of your crazy 6k/8k side by side edits you would want either the Macbook Pro M4 Max or the Mini M4 Pro with the 20 Core GPU, and load up on the unified memory (What Apple calls their version of RAM.) I would get the internal 512 GB SSD and then buy the best external 8TB you can. If you go the M4 Pro Mac Mini route you should buy one of the brand new dock hubs that have all your extra USB ports and they can can also hold an internal SSD. I've got 4 TB SSD in my dock. Edit: DO NOT buy the Macbook with the M4 Pro chip. It didn't get the fan update, so if you're doing insane heavy processing work it can get loud. The Macbook Pro M4 Max runs completely silent and so does all of the M4/M4 Pro Mac Mini's.

Some personal experience editing the same footages you're editing. I shoot and edit for a living. My "old" M1 Pro Macbook Pro w/16GB ram edits eats Sony 4k 422 10-bit h265, ProRes, and Blackmagic BRAW for breakfast, lunch, dinner, desert, and snacks. You really have to go node-heavy and stack those video layers to start feeling the slowdown. It's seriously crazy how fast this thing is on the timeline. I use it in a professional editing environment on commercial sets for quick edits in Resolve for clients and/or VTR. My PC, a 5950x/4070/64GB ram is good and will export faster and handle MORE thrown at it, but it *feels* slower in the timeline than the M1 Pro, especially when cutting ProRes. Like, there's a slight delay between hitting play and pause that the Mac doesnt have. Small things like that that make editing way less of a chore on the Mac. I think you're going to trip out at how fast and actually pleasing to use a computer can be. It feels like when you find a really nice juicy pen and start writing and the feeling of that pen to paper is so nice you finish your entire manifesto in one sitting, so you start writing another and another and soon you're leading hundreds of men in a digital proxy war against Ghana. It's a slippery slope, but worth the risk.

Lifelong Windows user also, have a decent custom desktop. Was anti-Apple for a very long time due to paying a premium for the same Intel/AMD internals and duping people into "its just better". Got an M1 Pro MacBook (only 16GB too) for mobile option but it ended up being faster in many tasks than my 5900X/32GB/2080 desktop and became my main machine. Desktop was in sleep mode for almost a full year. IMO Apple Silicon is just way better. The M4 Pro Mini represents extreme value and will vastly outperform an equivalent $ desktop. Skip the SSD upgrade and operate off external to prevent wear on the internal and also free up bandwidth for OS/programs (& it's way cheaper), and while unified memory is definitely better I would go 64gb for future proofing. Don't worry about 10GE unless you operate off a NAS/network drives that also support it or want to. I feel pretty limited by the 16gb on the M1 so looking to upgrade, the M4 Pro Mini is mighty tempting but I think the updated Studio is not far off and we could potentially see the M4 Max version w/ 36gb or more for similar prices to the specced up M4 Pro Mini & I think the base M4 Studio will be the bees knees

Keep all files / cache on an external SSD raid, or Synology. Internal storage on the mini & all Apple products is a rip-off. BUT: watch the ArtIsRight videos on fan noise on the Mini. When pushed hard, the pro chip heats up quick & the fan is loud. The non-pro chips in the Mini don’t have that problem. For that reason, the Studio is a better option if you really want a quiet desktop machine. If you can wait for that to be updated in June, do that, otherwise there are some deals to be had on the "old" chipset w/that machine.

That fan shouldn't cost you more than $15-20 US dollars (no clue in Canadian doll hairs). That's, if you still keep the old CPU. 5900X requires a bigger cooler. If you want to edit 8k videos and future proof I'd get the M4 Max macbook pro 16 inches, the max chips have 2 video encoders/decoders for H.265/ProRes and those make a LOT of difference when editing your videos. The pro chips are powerful as heck but they're not powerful enough for 8k Raw. Edit: Another thing to consider is that the ARM architecture that they use for the Apple silicon has unified the memory used for the GPU and the general system, that's why it's called UNIFIED memory, therefore, everything is much closer to the CPU and GPU and there's way less latency, the max chips also double the bandwidth of the memory, which is also quite essential for video editing. (270ish Gbps vs 540ish going from pro to max) Avoid getting a 14 inches macbook pro MAX because you'll get loud fans and throttling on your CPU/GPU, you would still get fantastic performance, but like 5% less than the 16 inch version with louder fans. The macbitch version also has the advantage to have full performance both on battery and plugged in (jesus christ I sound like an apple fan boy but I really am not, I'm a PC user), but given what you've said in this video and in the previous one and that you don't really care about gaming, the macbook with the max chip might be the best option. I'll probably be getting an M4 MAx myself, 5300 Canadians + taxes, it'll be outchie outchie to my walletie but it'll last me more than half a decade for sure. For me 48gb of unified memory is plenty, but if you want to edit 6 and 8k videos I'd get at least 64gbs Edit2: Lastly, unless you KNOW you need to have storage ON device, don't upgrade storage, use fast speed external SSD to handle your large video files, I've been using a 1050MB/S crucial external SSD for my other channel videos and it has NEVER stuttered even when editing 6k N-raw Edit 3: I love your channel, no homo.

Based on everything you said I would say the M4 is probably your better bet given you just want it for creative work, no gaming (with all the upgrades you suggested, minus the 10Gbit Ethernet). I'm not 100% sure of how it is in Canada, but Apple are usually pretty good at allowing returns (if you get it directly from them) - and sometimes an extended return period over Christmas). So I'd check out what the T&C's are in Canada - if it did drive you crazy / not good enough you could always return it if that option is there.

The 7900xtx will not be good for editing, amd is not good at supporting creators at all. If you’re really deciding between that and a M4, get the M4. Configure the M4 like this for the best bang for buck. -Max amount of ram possible (you said 64gb it would prob be good) Apples computers use unified memory which essentially means it can use that 64GB as VRAM. -Minimum amount of storage as possible. Use a thunderbolt enclosure and buy storage that’s faster for cheaper. (If you use your ssd on your Mac too much it degrades it and when that blows up your PC is ewaste) -Best GPU you can afford (highest core count) -At least the 20 core cpu. -10G Ethernet would be amazing because then you could make a separate storage pc and access terabytes of data at 1GB/s and not even worry how much storage your Mac has. Just remember this: If you go PC you need a NVIDIA gpu, don’t let the fanboys sucker you into a AMD gpu, you will regret it

The reason why the Apple M chips and Intel CPU are so good at video editing is because they have really powerful built-in hardware encoder and *decoder.* All the Ryzen CPU don't have that, so you rely entirely on your CPU cores to decode your files but they are not specifically built for that, so it's pretty intensive and inefficient. Dedicated GPU can help but the problem is that they don't have really good decoder only good encoder (but GPU are useful to render special FX in real time or live streaming). Exporting fast is nice but what really matters is smooth playback when you're editing high-res or high frame rate 10bit files. The 14900K has its fair share of problem but luckily for you, what you're really after is the encoder (or media engine) found in pretty much every Intel CPU since the 11th gen. So, you can just get a lower-end CPU in the 14xxx line-up, like the regular 14600 or 14700, they have the exact same decoder at a much lower price point and they don't overheat or degrade themself (and just to be clear, even if they are not the best CPUs, they are FAR better than your 3600X or better than the vast majority of stuff that was made just a few years ago). You may also want to consider a laptop with a 14th gen Intel CPU, since you don't want to build your PC yourself. Switching to Apple is a good idea too but Its gonna take you some time to get used to the OS, I don't think you're gonna like that. If you go that route, you just need the base M4 because the media engine is doing all the heavy lifting and its more than good enough for the type of content that you create. (I'd go with the base model for 800$CAD and just use external SSD for more storage).

Buy the Mac M4 Pro, with at least 64GB RAM. If you check my channel, I do videos similar to yours, just for phones, I used both a PC and Mac Mini M2, Mac Mini M2 Hands down. I do exactly what you are describing, putting 2-3 8K videos next to each other, color-grading them, etc. The chipset will handle it, no problem at all. The only advice I have is to not go cheap on RAM, I don't know why, but my RAM is sometimes at 50GB when I go from 2 videos side by side to 3; it could be a memory leak on Premier Pro. In the last video, I wanted to tell you that you are better off going for a Mac than a new PC.

@@CAMTechChris This is also what I thought, but now I'm sitting on 32GB, and it constantly gets to orange/red on Davinchi and Premier, and I can't upgrade the memory. Crazy to see all the apple sheep flocking. 1) guaranted you can find a jabroni locally to help you build the PC so you don't need the overpriced build prices 2) even if you do go Apple, I'd only recommend the Mac Studio which is meant for work and not for your grandmothers email machine. It will have a much more powerful GPU and more than the 64GB of memory. That also isnt out yet for another 4-6 months. Keep in mind the Mac memory is for BOTH the CPU and GPU so 64GB for both is not enough. The reason the mac mini is so small is because it's a toy. Even the macbook pro (literally a laptop) has more powerful CPU options. 3) as you said the new GPUs aren't out yet either I think the right move is patience. Replace ONLY your current CPU heatsink fan ($20-$30) or go for the whole heatsink & fan with the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ($50-$60). Your PC will be fine until the new GPUs and/or when the M4 Mac Studio comes out. Then you can get something good either way. Patience.

Your cooler (fan) probably just has a bearing issue. It would be easy for you to swap out. Even getting the upgraded CPU and swapping that out at the same time wouldn't be any trouble. We're talking mins. Plenty of places to find walkthroughs on YT. The biggest advantage of PC is just that. If something in your mac were to start going wrong, there's no way to just swap out the part and get an upgrade. You'd either have to pay for a certified "pro" to fix it or buy a new one. You don't even need a whole new system. Buy the new cpu and cooler. Find out exactly what your RAM config is and either buy a couple more sticks to put in or just buy a whole new kit (DDR4) with as much as you want. See if your motherboard has any unused M.2 slots and buy new NVME SSDs for them. Finally, buy a new GPU. Your current system isn't that bad for what you use it for. More ram, a newer CPU, some newer (maybe faster) storage and a new GPU and you're set. You don't even need a whole new system but if you decide you want one anyway, after the new stuff comes out, you already have the GPU, cooler, RAM and storage for a new set up. What's really good about PC is that once you put the new stuff in, you can post your old parts online and sell them easily. The cpu and gpu will be easy get rid of and you'll immediately recoup some of the cost of the upgrade(s). If you wanted to do the upgrades yourself you could easily do all that in an hour (if that). Everything but the cpu itself and the cooler basically just plug in.

The M4 Pro with 20 GPU cores will be about a 4060 range GPU, but the encoders will be a huge difference in your workflow for sure! Macs are great as long as you take the time to set things up and don't try to make MacOS become Windows. Everybody in the audio world uses Macs simply because of the core audio system underpinning the entire OS. But Take you time to learn the key commands and set things up the way you like them like Finder (files app) and the settings and if I can give one recommendation get the Magic Trackpad it will change how fast you get work done compared to a mouse on a Mac. Regular off the shelf mice suck on MacOS. But yea, for the type of content you produce it will probably be beneficial for you to give MacOS a shot. Sorry, but your question is hard to answer. Macs get their performance aside from extremely strong core performance and high memory bandwidth mostly by optimization with special silicon and it depends strongly on the software you are using and the kind of projects you are working on. Some things profit from sheer calculation power, others profit dramatically e.g. from build in encoders or unified memory. Benchmarks are mostly a hint, but not much more. Not sure how the return policy is in your country, but if it’s the common 2 weeks, then I’d order the unit with 64 GB / 2 TB and test my most demanding projects, comparing those with your current device. But please keep in mind that the M4 max has double the GPU power. It’s the one ment for high end workflows with demanding GPU calculations. Unfortunately it will take time until the M4 studio is available.

Building a pc is better. Also you don’t need to buy ddr5 6000Mhz RAM. The AMD 9950x CPU supports ddr5 5600Mhz RAM. So you can save some money by buying ddr5 5600Mhz RAM. The only 2 advantages of buying a Mac will be it will run more silent & the electricity usage will be lower. The big disadvantage of buying a m4 Mac mini is that it doesn’t have a replaceable SSD or RAM. So, once the SSD dies in about 3 to 5 years or if a component fails, you must throwaway the whole Mac away, which will lead to a massive e-waste dump. This is the biggest problem of buying a mac. In a pc if a problem of a component arise you can replace that specific component & use the pc right away. In a span of about 10 years you’ll have to buy 2 to 3 macs because of the SSD problem. By buying a pc you can upgrade the specific parts individually if you want to upgrade it more. Buying a pc will save you a lot of money in the long run. Also, it will reduce the e-waste dump because you can give away your PC to someone else after you don’t need your PC anymore or you want to upgrade to another PC in about 10 years. PC’s have a much longer lifespan of over 10 years. The only downside of buying a pc is that it will have a higher electricity wattage consumption. So, choose your purchase decision according to your needs.

Apple M series "max" chips have greater memory bandwidth compared to the M "pro" chips. The Max series also includes additional dedicated video codec support which makes them better suited for video editing. The Apple "memory tax" makes them overpriced if bought new. Your best bet is to find a good deal on used M2 max macbook pro 14" or 16" with min 32GB RAM, 1TB+ SSD - for less than a loaded M4 Pro mac mini. Macbook Pro's have the added advantage of including a calibrated HDR screen which can be used for decent colour grading for KZbin. I used to build pro-grade PCs exclusively for editing and was fed up with the constant battle configuring drivers. I now run Davinci Resolve 19 on M1 max MacBook Pro (bought used) and have never had any issues for the past year. Put the money you save towards an external Thunderbolt 3 SSD and dock . Casey if you want to stay with PC you can't go away from Intel. AMD CPUs do not have built in hardware decoders for H.265 4.2.2 10bit. Both AMD and NVidia GPU also do not have the h.265 4.2.2 decoder, so you must get it from the Intel IGPU. That is the only way Canon lets you shoot in 10bit, so even with an expensive pc like that, without intel you will have issues. Our edits are completely Fing insane and we use an Intel 13700 with a 4090. YOU CANNOT get an INTEL 14900F the F means it doesn't have the IGPU. If you get one without the igpu you will not get the built in decoders that you need. And yes Davinci will automatically use the IGPU or dedicated graphics card automatically. With both and an Intel CPU with IGPU and an Nvidia GFX card you can edit really well. We went with the 4090 just for the Vram, because of how crazy we get, and yes it does max out all 24gb, but we have never gotten the dreaded ( you ran out of vram) error. We know that it's been tested on the M4 chips, and it works extremely well (not as well as FCP11 of course but that's made by Apple exclusively for Macs). Ultimately, he'd pay less for a machine that would kick ass and just work, it gets out of your way and just lets you create. I’m still at this very moment getting used to the Mac OS environment and I do miss some of the habits I had from my PC years. But this is probably just resistance I have, not fully embracing the Mac OS logic. So I hear your concerns and they’re valid IMO. However, I do not regret it. I love my MacBook and the Apple ecosystem in general. It just works. With indeed the temptation of becoming a fan boy, you nailed it. But mostly for budget reasons, I don’t and it’s fine. At that point if I were you, if you’re seriously considering going for a Mac, I’d wait for the upcoming Mac Studio. The beast is meant for creative works, in video editing in particular. Going from a M2 to a M4 with the new version most likely. And the base version will also most likely be enough, with a lower price than the PC build you’re planning. Just wait a couple more months and decide. That’s what I’d do. That’s what I will do myself.

I think the Mac will be better, faster, more stable. Advanced video editing will mostly run in real-time at full quality, with multiple layers in both Final Cut Pro or Davinci Resolve. Memory is crazy optimised, so you won't have to go bonkers there. It will be super silent, and draw significantly less power. A USB/ Thunderbolt hub will be useful, but just getting the right USB-C cable would solve 9/10 cases without even needing a HUB, unless a USB-A cable is built-in on the device. Then there's the "learning Mac" experience. I foresee many rant videos, lol. But once you get up to speed I think you'll come to like it. Back in the early 2000's I was working at a game developer studio, and most developers frowned upon Macs from their Windows machines. Today, most developers I know are Mac users. If cranky Windows developers can learn to like Mac, so can you :D Good luck!

I switched from a "high end" PC laptop that could barely keep up with my software to a Macbook Pro M3 Pro and it isn't even comparable how much better the Mac is. The learning curve isn't as bad as you might imagine. If you keep your current mouse, you can have it set up to allow Right-Clicking. I am only a photographer, but the specs of the one you were looking at are way more than enough to do the video work you likely do. Macs are what most video/photo editors use since it is somehow optimized for that purpose. Highly recommend making the switch.

Listen to your boy .. we do the same thing (you just do it so much more lol) go Mac and put this headache behind you. Get as much internal storage as you can and enjoy editing smoother than you’ve ever edited before. I’m still using the M1 Max MacBook Pro and it slices through anything I throw at it. The M4 will be even better and unstoppable for at least the next 6-7 years. Just get Apple care. It’s worth it

Before switching to Mac - ensure that your monitors resolution is compatible with MacOS scaling. There are some resolutions (UHD 4K or so) where you might ONLY get a BLURRY picture unless you buy a new monitor too.... . Also DO NOT OVERSPENT on the Mac. Better: buy 10 GB Ethernet card for the PC and use that for CHEAP and FAST storage if possible (room, fan etc.).
@method3414 күн бұрын
with a Mac Mini you can use any resolution. What you're saying only applies to MacBook, no?
@Thirsty_Fox4 күн бұрын
@@method341 No they're correct. macOS is super janky with scaling, especially dissimilar monitors or anything non-retina since they got rid of sub-pixel aliasing. That's why Mac displays are exactly 21.5" = 4k, 24" = 4.5k, 27" = 5k, 32" = 6k. Using 27" 4k causes it to render all assets 5k and downscale or something in a weird way that doesn't look as sharp.

So I've been doing video editing on Macs for the past decade and recently upgraded my rig. Mac Mini M4 Pro 14-core with 64gb ram. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON UPGRADING THE HARD DRIVE. 512 gb is plenty to store your apps. Along with that, a 4TB LaCie USB 3 hard drive for $150 USD. And a Phillips Creator Series 27" Monitor for $230 USD. All in plus tax, $2800 USD

Go for the m4 pro for $1399 just add the 10gigabit ethernet option as an upgrade for an extra $100 you should be golden (or buy a cheap 2.5 gigabit dongle for $15 online). Get a NAS (network attached storage) for offloading large files. Apple charges an arm and a leg for storage.

I went from my PC, which was pretty damn good, 9 month old 128GB RAM top of the line dell laptop, to a M4 Pro MacMini . I will not even consider going back.No comparison.

I'm still loving my M1 Max Mac Studio after buying it after they were first released. It was my first ever MAC computer after being PC my whole life. I absolutely love how this thing gives off NO HEAT at all. No noise either. My PC, even though it had like a donze fans, would give off so much heat and make my room hot, plus very noisy. I also own a iPad Pro and latest iPhone, so having a Mac, just makes sense. Performance is top tier!

I doubt Mac Mini M4 Pro will be enough for ya. I tried Mac Mini M2 and it was slower than my PC which was almost the same config you have. I know M4 Pro is much better than base M2, but I doubt it will be enough of the upgrade. Wait 3-4 months for M4 Studio. Even M4 Max version will be a killer machine. Although you can check M4 Pro Mac Mini and return it if you think it's not good enough. I bet apple has the same no question asked return policy in Canada (or Amazon return policy).

M2 mini vs M4 Pro is a ridiculous jump... That's like saying you tried a Nissan Leaf when people are saying to get a Tesla...
@JoATTech4 күн бұрын
@@FPVwineUK But is M4 Pro comparable with 4080 or 4090 based PC as he compares it too? M2 Mini was slower than RTX2070. I doubt M4 Pro is such a jump. Benchmarks say it's 2x tops. It does not even have dual media engine like M4 Max.
@FPVwineUK4 күн бұрын
@ PC and Mac aren’t really comparable like that… it’s more complex. For instance… 4090 is pretty power hungry compared.

@@FPVwineUK I know I have 4080 based PC, I have M1 MBA, had M2 Mac Mini. But kinda doubt M4 pro Mac Mini is enough for what he needs. But I might be wrong cause haven't touched M4 Pro yet :D.

Macs use shared RAM so you want the max memory. Davinci projects that crash out of VRAM on my PC's RTX 4090 will run on my MacBook Pro with 64GB of RAM. Standard 1gigabit Google Fiber will support about 20 KZbin 4k streams. Only get 10G ethernet if you want to turn your old PC into a file server aka NAS. External enclosure option for Mac Mini: ACASIS 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure with Cooling Fan, TBU 405 Pro for M1 M2 Pro/Max, Compatible with USB4/3.2/3.1/3.0/2.0, Support SSD Size 2280 B+M M-Key (TBU405 PRO) This is a lot less than Apple monitor: Dell UltraSharp 39.7" 2160p HDR 120 Hz Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor Davinci Resolve license allows install on a PC and Mac so you can use both interchangeably.

I started using PC's since the mid 80's and made the switch to a MacMini 15 years ago. They are a lot more stable and less likely to be attacked by a virus.... but not impossible. The Apple GUI is a lot more intuitive than the PC but you will need to purchase all new software. I do a lot of photo editing but very little video so maybe a Mac Studio would be a better fit.

Like I said in the previous video, if you’re planning to work on it, just go for the M4 Pro/48 gb/2 tb ssd (even if,you can use an external ssd and save a lot of money). Windows machines are great for gaming, but for working not so much. I learned this the hard way and wasted a lot of money and honestly, it’s pointless to compare them. On paper, my RTX 3070 Ti, Intel 12700K, and 32GB of RAM should have DESTROYED the M1 Pro. But in reality when I loaded 35 4K tracks on DaVinci Resolve on the Mac,it ran buttery smooth. Tried the same on the PC, and it started struggling at 7-8 clips. I felt so stupid spending over 2K on this massive 15kg PC tower with top-tier cooling, only to watch a tiny MacBook Pro outperform it. And my MacBook is the basic model...M1 Pro, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD. If you’re still going for Windows PLEASE, don’t buy AMD GPUs for video editing. They’re great for gaming but terrible for editing,just not optimized for it. You’ll end up with a killer gaming rig but a crappy editing pc. All the softwares are optimized for NVIDIA gpus due to their CUDA cores. AMD cards rely on OpenCL, which is less efficient in many of these workflows.

Since you're not gaming, Mac for sure. Thunderbolt 4 for external SSD is plenty good for editing.

No. Left Apple Years ago when they decided to be a fashion brand instead of a computer company. You will always pay more for less. Get an open Open case PC, AMD, lots of airflow, easy to upgrade whenever you feel like it without changing the whole machine. Just upgraded mt 1080Ti graphics after 5 years and was done in 30 minutes. While I loved MacOS, in recent years it's because little more than spam for iCloud and a PC has twice the power for 1/3 the cost

Someone already said it...but consider an Apple Store Refurb M2 Ultra Mac Studio. For well under $4K you can get a crazy fast unit ....with 64 GB RAM, 60 GPU Cores, 2TB SSD combined with fast internal Bus speeds for much quicker final rendering. Also supports multiple 8K monitors and 10 Gb ethernet. Consider: It will show up at your front door in 2 days...ready to go out of the box. It substantially outperforms the M4 Pro Mini and since it's an Apple product, will hold it's resale value higher and longer......
