Should I Advertise On The Knot or WeddingWire? | Tips For Wedding Photographers

I am a baker and I decided to do wedding wire and it's been been 6 months and I do get leads but I feel like some of them even fake and people wanting free tastings or unrealistic budgets it's been horrible having to pay for this and not getting anything in return. (I'm glad it has work for you)

Everyone's experience is so different. You never know if it's gonna work for you or against you. If you can grow your business without it then that is definitely my recommendation

It doesn't "pay for itself" if you book one or two wedding if your business is structured. There are so many expenses. Thanks for the video though.

So I have been on both platforms and pay one rate to advertise on both since they are "Wedding Pro" I have had a good amount of leads from both platforms. It almost feels like a "right of passage" being on those sites. I know some leads like to "see" you on those sites. I also know a lot of friends and family members that used both of these platforms to plan out their weddings. It can be good to be on those sites.

A “right of passage” is definitely what it feels like. It’s like it’s something you just need to try and see if it works for your business or not.

Their price has skyrocketed alot since this video. Just got off the phone with them. Their basic paid plan now is like $400 a month

WeddingPro didnt generate enough leads to be worth it for me. They lock you into a 12 month contract, and when I went to cancel after that, they are trying to keep me on the hook for more. My advice, avoid them. They will try to sell you a lot and when you need help they will not deliver.

I generally agree with this. I think our business was one of those exceptions to the rules where we had success on WeddingWire. So generally I say they can work, but I would recognize that it’s a risk and generally unhelpful.
