I was diagnosed with a stage two prolapse (a rectocele and cystocele) two months ago and I started pelvic floor physio asap. As of my 8th week of physio, I’ve reached my physio goal for pelvic floor strength and endurance. I have to be honest, I never knew that PF therapy would bring such a HUGE improvement to many of my symptoms. At the beginning of my therapy I had told my therapist that it was important for me to get back to the gym where I do mostly weight lifting and some cardio (elliptical, biking and stair climbing). Upon request, she has been great with giving me different exercises that are PF safe for my core, glutes, quads, and hamstrings. I am still waiting for my first pessary appointment. I encourage anyone who was diagnosed with a prolapse to spend the time and money on PF therapy. You will be so happy you did!
